They'd shut that down real quick. They don't allow it for killers.

I think it's a great idea. All the rich celebrities who say they should raise taxes, can now easily pay extra themselves and they don't need to bother the rest of us.

In the time it takes to send $10k, the interest debt will have gone up $100k. So dumb.

If the democrats run this, all proceeds will go to some random non-profit. Just ask Palisades how that goes.

Have the government show their ethereum address. I'll make a crypto token worth 50 trillion dollars and send them one. Then they can send it to the Fed.

Did some quick numbers, and for this to work, every person in the US only has to pay $100…..

…once a day for the next 3 years. And the debt would have to stay the same.

Politicians see money and feel the need to spend 10x what came in. It's just their nature now.

Fun to think about but I don't trust them with the money I'm already giving them.

And with fiscal liberals in charge, now, and in the probable future....that ain't happening.

Hopefully Warren Buffet will donate. He keeps complaining about his low capital gains tax burden. He never complained on his way up, only once he got to the top to look down on all us.

That coupled with eliminating entitlements just might actually work:

You just need 150MM people to each pay $240,000 (I think) and we can pay down our debt to zero!

I'm sure the dems will be jumping all over this. They love nothing as much as giving money to the government...oh, and killing babies.

How in the **** is that suppose to work? Even if you took 5 minutes to kick in a cool $100k, in that same 5 minutes an additional $10 million in interest accrues.

I help with the national debt every year via the income tax. More than my fair share over time. The problem is that around half of the people pay nothing toward the national debt and, in fact are a net drain and increase the national debt via refundable tax credits and other ways. Have everyone pay something, no refundable credits, do away with all entitlements, if they are cold and starving they can turn to family, their church (lol), or charities, cut all spending including defense, and see where things fall.

if it reduced my tax debt with promises to not raise debt ceiling, maybe. Otherwise no.
