.. it sure looks like a toothless threat. Why? Well, they've both already squeezed that fruit for all the juice in it.

Let's look at how those states are split right now. Let's just accept the party in power will be over represented - that's a given. But by how much is the question.

California - 52 seats

43 Democrats (83%)
9 Republicans (17%)

2024 election results - 59/38 Democrat

Democrats over represented by 24%

New York - 26 seats

19 Democrats (73%)
7 Republicans (27%)

2024 election results - 56/42 Democrat

Democrats over represented by 17%

Texas - 38 seats

25 Republicans (66%)
12 Democrats (34%)

2024 election results - 56/42 Republican

Republicans over represented by 10%

I don't think California has anywhere to go at all. Hell, if Texas swings 5 seats like they say they're going to, they'll still only be at 79% vs CA's 83% margin.

They need to redo the census first.

Yep. Cali has one seat too many and Texas has one less because of the botched 2020 census.

Elections are when people find out what politicians stand for, and politicians find out what people will fall for.

California and New York have already stolen red states' representation. They can **** off.

They need to scrap the whole thing and start over. It's become nothing but a way for dems to get more representation than they deserve (which should be Zero in a good an decent world).
