The Big Beautiful Bill passed.
Stocks at all time highs.
Victories at SCOTUS.

Things are looking up for Trump, and America (praise the Lord), and not so good for the Dems.

Would that all weeks could end this way.

Trump will fix it.

And the Democrats are angry and as frustrated as I've ever seen them. Tells you it has been a good week for America.

Happy Independence Day.

Everything they and the media have done and lied about to try to damage him has failed. Teflon Don is pretty much an accurate moniker.

Not a great week for the second amendment as pansy republicans allowed needed NFA reforms to be stripped out.

It was the parliamentarian that stripped it.

Keep making excuses though

This is about the 5000000th thread dunking on spending increases and bad legislation.

Interesting how none of your posts have any detail. It's almost as if you don't have anything to add to the discussion.

It's ok to admit you don't understand how reconciliation works and WHY removing suppressors was something that was disallowed by the Parliamentarian.

But, since you're stubborn and won't admit you don't know...

Here you go...

The answer is in that link.

So, you really don't know nor can you explain it. You can only link to someone else's work. I'm still waiting on YOUR take, but I guess that won't come since you don't know.

I know EXACTLY why it couldn't be included. It's even in that link I provided.

I can give you the information but if you refuse to read it, that's out of my hands.

And if you won't read it from the link that gives you the reason, why should I waste my time typing it out when you probably won't read that either...

But, here...I'll even narrow it down for you from the link anyways:

Quote:

Byrd Rule

Additionally, reconciliation bills are subject to the Byrd Rule in the Senate (named after Senator Robert Byrd and first adopted in the 1980s). The idea behind the Byrd Rule is that because reconciliation bills are considered under expedited procedures, they should be limited in scope. But the application of the Byrd Rule is a lot more complicated. The Byrd Rule prohibits the inclusion of "extraneous" measures, defined as: measures with no budgetary effect; that worsen the deficit when a committee has not achieved its reconciliation target; outside the jurisdiction of the committee that submitted the title or provision; that produce a budgetary effect that is merely incidental to the non-budgetary policy change; that increase deficits for any fiscal year outside the reconciliation window; and that recommend changes to Social Security. Senators asserting that there is an extraneous provision can raise a point of order against the provision, amendments, or the conference agreement, and the Senate Parliamentarian will decide whether there is a Byrd Rule violation. If the provision is found to violate the Byrd Rule, it is struck and cannot be offered later as an amendment.

How is the elimination of approximately $200 million in tax revenue (yes, the NFA is explicitly a tax law) not germane to a broader budget discussion? Senators should get to vote on that provision, not have it removed by a appointed hack whose decisions are non-binding.

Republicans were going to be forced to go on record as for or against the measure until the hack gave them political cover.

But, I can see your point about the registration not being relevant to the budget discussion. If the shoe were on the other foot, I'm sure the democrats would've taken full advantage of the situation.

The TAX could be and WAS eliminated.

Removing them from the NFA has no bearing on budgets, though, after there is no tax. THAT was the problem.

So, you still have to register them like before, but now you don't have to waste the $200 for the tax stamp.

Yes that sucks, but it was the best deal they could get through reconciliation. Maybe they can sneak the removal into another bill later (because you KNOW Democrats won't vote to remove them).

You keep effing that chicken! The repuglicans pussied out on the measure, given cover by the obama-appointed parlimentarian. The parliamentarian decision is NON-BINDING. Republicans could've override\d the decision, but chose to take the political cover. You are firmly in the camp with them since dems would've taken the most effective path, not the pussified justification you are trying to use. GTFO with that crap.
