No idea and don't care. State and local taxes should be dealt with on a state and local level, not given a much higher ceiling by the rest of us through the fed

Don't like your local state income to tax ratio, move. We can throw in a UHaul tax deduction and save 100s of billions

This is an increase by a factor of 4. Ridiculous

Asked Grok a few questions. The spending continues

Spending by year since 2010

Below is a summary of U.S. federal government spending by fiscal year (FY) from 2010 to 2024, based on available data. The figures are in trillions of U.S. dollars, sourced primarily from reputable government and nonpartisan organizations. I'll also provide context on spending trends and key drivers, keeping it concise while addressing the request directly. Note that FY 2025 data is incomplete (only through April 2025) and preliminary.
U.S. Federal Spending by Year (20102024)

Bailing out high tax liberal states while we stare at a multi trillion dollar deficit. Are there in conservatives left in DC?

Will help plenty of people in tx. And I don't care to move to BFE to avoid ridiculous property taxes. Yeah yeah I could buy a cheaper house

But it won't matter, because the taxes on the cheaper house will raise to an awful level shortly. We have to take control of our Government before they ruin everything people work for. Too many shady things are going on at the City, County and State levels.

Only 2 Republican Senators. What a sad time for the country. I know it won't happen but I pray someone finds their balls during the Senate debates. It's a fascinating watch. Never voted Democrat (or for Trump) but I'm agreeing w them here.

So they caves on gun control, caved on spending controls, and are gearing up for a shell game to mask increased spending and pork.

Almost sounds like the last Trump admin trying to hand out more "stimulus" checks to get votes ..

Once you realize it's all a bunch of BS you can't control, the better off your life will be.

Nobody in DC gives a F about what you think nor does it matter that much in the long run.

I know it's a pipe dream but getting a larger majority in the midterms beyond the blue state reps would do wonders for the legislature and in turn the country

Agree, except it should matter to you, unless you are a nihilist. We are to the point that our debt and interest will negatively affect growth.

This bill is gross and anyone who supports it and claims to be remotely conservative is a hypocrite. If you're going to make spending cuts but then raise the deficit then what the hell is the point ? The SALT increases are basically subsidizing terrible democrat policies, and until something is done about social security and Medicare just putting lipstick on a pig.
These are the times that try men's souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman. Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.-Thomas Paine

Note the massive jump in spending in 2020 compared to prior years. It hasn't come.back down to pre covid levels yet and apparently Trump has no intention of doing it either

U.S. federal government spending from 2015 to 2025 (in trillions):
2015: $3.69

2016: $3.85

2017: $4.00

2018: $4.11

2019: $4.35

2020: $6.55 (COVID spike)

2021: $6.82 (COVID peak)

2022: $6.27

2023: $6.16

2024: $6.75$6.9

2025 (Projected): $7.27
Spending rose steadily, spiked during COVID (20202021), then declined but stayed above pre-COVID levels. Mandatory programs (e.g., Social Security, Medicare) drive most spending, with notable increases in defense and interest payments by 2025
