I have listened to her before and she is def a bright mind with great insight on history and current events. Her insight into China is worth thinking about.

For example she makes the argument that the Chinese treatment of the Uyghurs is happening because of Xi's understanding of why the Soviets fell.

I don't have bullet points, but she is absolutely worth the listen. Probably one of the foremost experts on American foreign policy and military history today and incredibly insightful.

Logical take. Admittedly, I do not know much about the strain of Islam that the Uyghurs are, but if it's of the radical kind then that would make sense why Xi is doing what he's doing.

I'm not condoning the treatment of them by the Chinese, but I've always figured this is exactly why Xi is doing this.

Here's a decent one line summary below:

China = The Borg

ETA: The Borg are a fictional alien race of cybernetic organisms in the Star Trek universe. They are a major antagonist, appearing as a hive mind called "The Collective". The Borg's goal is to achieve "perfection" by forcibly assimilating other species, technology, and knowledge into their collective consciousness. They use nanoprobes to assimilate others, like humans or vulcans, into their group. Races that are too primitive or dangerous are ignored or destroyed.

This isn't the latest release of Game of Thrones. You can give spoilers.

So what is the connection between the Uyghurs and the fall of the Soviet Union?

Soviets allowed a lot of their satellites political power and regional cultural identity. When things went south, they were primed to become their own states because they were culturally separate already.

She makes a couple of points in the first video:

Western civilization and Chinese civilization are opposites (opposite of Greek Analytical rigor, Roman Law, Christian values and ethics

Chinese:
  • Primacy of Order...avoid war...avoid chaos at all costs
  • Han obligations vs rights
  • Top down authority
  • Not run by institutions...personal power hierarchies...the guanxi...personal relationships, connections, and reciprocal obligations
  • China center of the world...seas aren't routes to get from A to B; but part of home territory
  • Bilateral agreements only...not pacts...if you're a smaller country, you are inferior

I find all this consistent with views outlined in the other OP

I've seen some of her YouTube shorts.
Very enlightening and she doesn't hold back on the atrocities committed by China and others.
