The historical stuff was nice, the little bit I caught of current troops marching.... if youre gonna be in a parade, learn to drill/march for said parade. Most US junior high bands do a better job of drill.

Most of those green berets are yoked though and I guarantee the avg Russian soldier doesn't want it with them in a fist or gun fight.

I just want my country's soldiers to be great at killing. I don't care if they can put on a synchronized marching show like North Korean women. Marching is from a bygone era anyways.

It's not a great troll, but I think it's kind of funny that Putin wanted to jump into the troll game. I didn't peg him as a guy with that kind of humor.

Drill is not an important issue and rarely practiced once you're in the fleet. At least for the Marine Corps. Get a battalion of recent Marine graduates and they'll look outstanding. Get a battalion of grunts who have been on active duty for a few years and they'll look pretty silly.

Ive seen the royal navy support crews do a better job...there are parades of British ex SF that put on better drill than what we saw.

Don't do it if you're gonna suck at it.

Much of the world thinks of the US as weak. They just keep their cards closer to the chest than Putin. Trumps policies are such that we are becoming a bit isolated. No one fears the US. There was a time when you would never dream of poking the bear because....well....one time someone did and millions ended up having children with genetic mutations for 3 generations. That time is long past. It's a funny tweet, but it should be seen as the school yard bully testing the waters.
