Calling it now:

-Jones will be a white male with a southern accent and Manor farm will be portrayed as the old south under slavery/Jim crow

-Old Major will be a female voiced by a black woman telling us of the utopian communism that can be achieved.

-Napoleon will be a very obvious Trump analog who betrays the Revolution and institutes authoritarian capitalism (instead of communism because of course)

-Boxer will be gay and it will be implied that he is sold to the glue factory because of that and not just that he got too old to work and the pigs didn't want to deliver on their promise of a generous state funded retirement

The message will be changed from "Beware of Leftist authoritarians promising paradise and delivering slavery" to "See?!?! Real communism has never been tried because evil capitalism keeps stopping it! Let's give it another go!"

Lets not give Orwell so much credit here, the themes about the pigs betraying "real socialism" are already in Animal Farm too. Orwell was a socialist not someone who advocated capitalism. Im sure this will twist his message about the oppression of the state into some kind of modern version dealing with perceived oppression based on identity politics. Thats a slam dunk.

People get this time line confused often. Animal Farm was published in 1945. Years after Orwell had become completely disillusioned by socialism, after participating in the failed experiment in Spain and seeking the tragedies of the Soviet Union.

Not saying he was a pure capitalist or anything either, probably closer to a classical liberal at this point in his life.

This. No way do these people do these sign up for a movie that tells the actual story. Will the line, "some animals are more equal than others" appear in the movie? Doubtful, unless, of course, Napoleon's character is changed as outlined by Maroon Dawn.

This will absolutely get twisted into a TDS and/or far right extremist analog.

You see the following comment pretty much daily in the media "the rise of authoritarianism" which is a dog whistle for TDS. Trump is the only reason this is getting made right now.

Never mind the Democrats push actual themes from Animal Farm and use 1984 as a handbook.

George Orwell was a socialist who despised communism. His biggest themes were the danger of "rewriting" history. This is why it would be doubly ironic to change the message of the story .
