Some points I took away from this article:

1) The assumption that Dan Crenshaw is some beloved figure on the right..... laughable.

2) The presumed 'crisis' from Politico that so many Navy Seals have gone on to be Republicans in congress.

3) Have no doubts -- the goal of articles like this is to try and make a case that the military should start vetting people for special forces along political affiliation lines - I guarantee it. If the SEALs keep producing, disproportionately Republican leaders, in the Dem/Left's eyes, that will mean that the SEALs as an institution need to be ideologically reformed. We can look at the long march through the institutions the last 75 years as evidence of this kind of thinking.

The most liberal woman in my neighborhood has a son that is a Navy Seal. His wife is super liberal too. Both post anti Trump, anti Musk junk daily on FB. I finally snoozed them because it was frequent.

Considering that 5 of the 7 listed started in 2023, Crenshaw in 2019 and Zinke 2015-2017, 2023-present... shouldn't politico see the trend and catch a hint?

Why do you think the libs installed the woke, crt BS in the military over the last 20 years. The officer corps was 90% republican in my last squadron back in 2012 and the enlisted were about 80%. Dems wanted to fix that
