Some points I took away from this article:
1) The assumption that Dan Crenshaw is some beloved figure on the right..... laughable.
2) The presumed 'crisis' from Politico that so many Navy Seals have gone on to be Republicans in congress.
3) Have no doubts -- the goal of articles like this is to try and make a case that the military should start vetting people for special forces along political affiliation lines - I guarantee it. If the SEALs keep producing, disproportionately Republican leaders, in the Dem/Left's eyes, that will mean that the SEALs as an institution need to be ideologically reformed. We can look at the long march through the institutions the last 75 years as evidence of this kind of thinking.
