They still have not emotionally recovered from their defeat in the 2024 election.

Dear Democrats,

President Trump is 90s Bill Clinton. There is no difference from Trump and Bill Clinton of the 90s from a policy perspective. That shows how extreme far left your political party has gone. The Republican party is now the party of pragmatic solutions while the Democrat party is now the party of Marxist extremists on crime, immigration, fiscal policy, and social issues like supporting gender changes for children (and taxpayer funded sex changes for criminals like Kamala supports).

These are videos of two of your recent major candidates, and your most recent President speaking on crime in the 90s. These videos alone show how dramatically your party has shifted to the radical Marxist Left.

Most recent Democrat President in the 90s: "We must take back the streets. It doesn't matter that the person attacking your son or daughter, my mother, or your parents was deprived as a youth. The end result is that they are about to knock my mother on the head with a lead pipe. Shoot my sister. Beat up my wife. Attack my sons. They must be taken off the streets. We have predators on our streets. We need to protect my family and your family from them. They are beyond the pale. We have no choice. We must make the streets safer. I don't care why someone is a malefactor in society. I don't care why someone is anti-social. I don't care why they have become a sociopath. We have an obligation to put them in prison. Away from my mother. Your husband. Our families."

The next two videos show Democrats in the 90s on illegal immigration.

That must be why we've seen an uptick in drive by posters from other boards and posts from longtime handles with very low post counts.

And they're nearly all inane and post unintelligent propaganda. Regurgitation of things you heard doesn't really work on this board. Reddit? A total cesspool of losers and misanthropes.

Politics in 2025 has become akin to a college football rivalry. When I was a kid in the 70s and 80s, at least as I remember it, politics was a respectful debate, but it wasn't a vitriolic divide between red & blue. Now, it's either you're a red patriot or a blue hater of America. Why? Why can't someone disagree with the other side without being a fascist or a communist? I don't understand. I love my country, but I realize it's not perfect. I want this country to be the shining beacon of prosperity and freedom it used to be. But I don't want it to be ruled by the .5% of the population that can afford access to power. Why does that make me unamerican?

Yes people who believe in God, family values, a strong United States, hard work and self responsibility are the "worst people anywhere".

It is because the Democrats and Joe Biden went from this:

And many people in the current administration seem to be leaning toward the fascist tendencies we saw in Europe in the 30s & 40s. Not all, but some. Is one worse than the other? Shouldn't we be demanding that our elected officials play by the rules our founding fathers wrote rather than excusing their behavior so that our side wins, whatever side that is? I don't want single party rule from either side. I want a representative republic based on traditional democracy. I don't want a nationalist nor a theocratic autocracy, nor a leftist majority autocracy. Why is that a bad thing?

Soros prosecutors refuse to enforce the law against protected groups. Democrats are getting 20,000 of your fellow Americans killed every year with their policies because one billionaire decided laws American citizens voted for and support are "racist" in his insane opinion and Marxist worldview. I am against 20,000 of my fellow American citizens being killed every year because some Marxist billionaire doesn't like my country's justice system. He is the largest donor in Democrat party history at the national, state, and local levels.

Spare me. As far as I can tell this admin follows every court order, yet you call them fascist while the last administration politically persecuted unarmed protesters but only from the opposing party. They used my tax dollars to pay off their powerful friends and fund a propaganda machine every bit as Fascist/Communist, as Hitler's Signal or Stalin's Pravda. They pushed the reversal of 100 years of women's civil rights, as well as convinced minorities to self segregate after a 250 year struggle for racial equality. Openly support the mutilation or sterilization of pre-pubescent children without their parent's consent, and the dismemberment of babies up 40 weeks or later if overdue. And let's not mention the support, no, the pushing of government ordered censorship, support for criminals over victims, and open borders to suppress the wages of millions of American born poor people.

The Democratic Party has been and remains the single most evil organization in the United States of America since 1828.

The list above is only the tip of an iceberg in a 197 year history rife with such things as genocide and eugenics.

This is exactly why I avoid political discussions on Reddit, and I use Reddit only for sports, especially college football. These far-left extremists are openly calling for the assassination of public figures and the overthrow of the federal government, but they claim Elon Musk is the Nazi. I really hope Kash Patel is deploying assets to shut down these far-left sites, like Reddit and root out domestic terrorists.

Many people are starting to see that Democrats have continued to drift way too far left on numerous things. Liberals believe America should be welcoming all types of cultures, lifestyles, family structures, and genders. When you provide data about poverty, high crime rates, and homeless, liberals blame these issues on capitalism, inequality, antiabortion laws, and numerous other things instead of considering the consequences of poor choices. For issue like illegal immigration, they rant about how border patrol agents abuse migrants in detention.

Define fascism.

Define theocratic autocracy.

Now, show how the current administration has anything to do with either.

If you've never watched the documentary "Best of Enemies," I highly recommend it.

Liberal pundits like Gore Vidal, with encouragement from TV producers, decided that calling people "nazis" and inserting personal vitriol into policy debates was good for ratings. That had an effect on the culture.

*that's just my brief summary and opinion of the doc; it was well reviewed when it came out and i really think it's worth checking out as a historical snapshot of one key moment, and the changes in political media that came afterwards.

The other factor is that the Republican party grew from being a regional political party that occasionally won the White House, to a viable national party consistently competing in state and congressional races across the country. A lot of Dems are nostalgic for one-party rule. I used to love Paul Burka's columns in Texas Monthly, when he would wax nostalgically for the good old days when there was less partisanship in the Texas legislature. Of course there was less partisanship under one-party rule. If you were voting in Texas in the 70's, you didn't hear a lot about hotly contested legislative fights or congressional races, because they all happened within the party primary without much hoopla in November.

Sadly Texas Monthly has become an extremely partisan Marxist publication now. They pretended to have some fairness in the past but Abbott, Patrick, Paxton, and Cruz broke their brains.

https://mediabiasfactcheck.com/texas-monthly/

Independent bias rating agencies agree that Texas Monthly is more Far Left than it has ever been right now.

Texas Monthly is nothing but constant crying about everything Abbott, Patrick, Paxton, Cruz, and the Texas Legislature do.
