The Department of Health and Human Services has terminated a contract with a nonprofit that was paid millions each month to operate a Texas overflow facility that sat empty, according to the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).
In a social media post, DOGE said a former U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement employee and Biden transition team member joined Family Endeavors in early 2021, where they helped the organization secure a sole-source HHS contract for overflow housing from licensed care facilities.
"As a result, Family Endeavors' cash and portfolio of investments grew from $8.3M in 2020 to $520.4M in 2023, the post states.

From the FOX story apparently the U. S. Attorney's office in D.C. has been contacted. Seems "Government Oversight" is an oxymoron.

My guess is it's worse than that. Dollars to donuts it lined someone's pockets who then gave back to democrats. That's how the grift works.

This mindset is throughout all levels of government. ISDs, local municipalities, counties, states...all of them are piss poor stewards of taxpayer funds.

There was a poster that knew about hotels and immigrants getting paid rooms and debit cards (500 per month). Did some checking and sure enough, the money they were handing out was obscene. COIVD PPE money was just as bad. If we are being honest, Im not sure we can recover from all the waste of the past 4 years.

How much of that money stemmed from the 2021 American Rescue Plan Act? The original $1.9 Trillion bill was so expansive, Congress hard a hard time finding places to spend all the money. Groups like this could have made for a nice dumping ground.

Biden's crime family probably got a cut as members of his transition team was involved with this particular non-profit

Practically any sole source government contract should receive serious scrutiny. There are certainly reasons for them to exist, but they should be few and far between.

THIS is the kind of thing where you find potential fraud.

Whether the government competes or awards sole source they are masters at screwing up procurement.

How many times do they award follow up contracts on a system to the low bidder who has no capability of performing or even understanding the system they've been tasked to support, only to have the government go back to the OEM and beg them to take a sole source contract? Happens quite a bit.

This is just unbelievable! Count the commas.

US Tax Payer money taken from us and given to them.

What is the end game? Do these "Owners" of the non-profit simply get to ride off into the sunset with all this money?
