This confirms what my buddy said about the email he got.

Does anyone know what Elon has posted on X about this, especially regarding Kash?

I'm sure Kash informed Elon he was doing this beforehand. I would assume it is to keep FBI investigations under wraps

Regardless of whether you think this was a necessary action/request, the fact it wasn't coordinated makes them look like clowns.

These guys need to coordinate and not turn it into a clown show.

Elon Musk may be the richest man but he is also an ahole. Yesterday he was dissing Parag Agrawal, the former CEO or twitter whom he fired when he bought it. Move on man.

Elon's a megalomaniac and he better be put on a tight leash else he will make Trump look bad.
My fear is he will do one thing too much without asking Trump and will get fired himself.

Elon's making enemies within the Administration. He is the only one in a non-official position with no responsibility if things blow up.

Tulsi Gabbard also told her people to forget it.

Tulsi Gabbard joins Kash Patel in defiance of Elon Musk over DOGE email demands
By STEPHEN M. LEPORE FOR DAILYMAIL.COM

Tulsi Gabbard became the latest Trump official to defy 'first buddy' Elon Musk after he emailed federal workers demanding they list and explain five things they accomplished last week.

Trump's newly-minted intelligence chief joined FBI director Kash Patel and a growing list of department heads who have told their employees to ignore the request from Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

Musk's email ordered workers to reply to the message with five bullets detailing all of their accomplishments at work in the past week and to cc in their manager.

Gabbard, the new Director of National Intelligence, sent a blunt message to officials in her department about DOGE's request.

'Given the inherently sensitive and classified nature of our work, I.C. employees should not respond to the OPM email,' read the message from the former Hawaii congresswoman. .....

It's probably not appropriate to apply this request to all departments for intelligence and security reasons. I don't even know if the request has real teeth beyond assuring doGe that you exist and are adding value

Yeah, Elon got out over his skis on this one. Now that the Repubican leadership is in charge of all the cabinet departments, he needs to coordinate through them. He has allies running the agencies now that are working for the same things he is.

What do you think about the tweets you posted?

I think it's a blip on the radar. The last administration was well-coordinated because it was unnamed actors running everything and they were accountable to no one.

Meh. This is radical change and happening fast. Some things are going to be done too quickly or deeply and adjustments are made. The good thing is they are making those adjustments and more importantly not dwelling on them. That way by the time the media and the Dems (I repeat myself) feel they can build up outrage and finger pointing Trump and Musk have long since moved on and it just makes them look foolish criticizing someone who is actually getting things done.

I was a DeSantis guy in part because he is more calculated and careful so less prone to making mistakes. That said Trump is kicking ass and gaining yards every day. Trump understands he is playing offense and the Dems are on their heels bigtime, the only thing that can stop him is if he lets it stop him. Instead he is going to keep pushing through and racking up W's. There is some bull in a china shop to it but that's the ride we are on and understand that people criticizing it fall into 2 camps. Those who simply want to oppose Trump and his agenda however they can and those who don't understand the game we are playing. The downfall of Trump's first term was he didn't understand the game himself and got played, he has shown that isn't the case this time. He knows they will hate him and criticize him no matter what so he might as well just say FU and drive forward, Elon is just the biggest stick he is using to accomplish that.

It's a clown email that adds no value.

All of this is very coordinated. Suggest some folks maybe watch the Elon/Trump interview with Hannity.

They freely admit there are lots of moving parts and things may have to be adjusted.

People should also note the language DOD and Kash and others are using.

They did NOT, as the title of the thread suggests, tell they underlings NOT TO RESPOND. They told them to PAUSE and await further clarification - primarily due to sensitive information concerns.

People love to pile on Trump and Elon thinking that as f16 keyboardists they know more about how to transform government than the guys doing it know.

Probably done on purpose.

1. Let Elon send this out
2. Admin says to ignore it
3. Now they have "proof" that Elon is not really in charge.

An email like that could've simply read something like, "please hit reply to this email as we want to confirm all positions," as opposed to making it seem that Elon was in charge, or had an authority over them.

Interesting. Do you work for yourself?

Cause at my company you do what the boss asks of you whether its a weekly summary or coming in to the office.

If I got wind an employee was choosing to not respond because in their incredible wisdom as a low level employee they have determined its busy work and does not add value.

Because you don't want to get laid off before that separation is done and official. There's others in my office that didn't take it. And I know tons of other civilians in the DOD as well in multiple departments. All said the same, don't respond.

I thought you resigned and took the 8 months.

Curious, what would your 5 points have been?

Also, the DOD from the X post says the DOD is coordinating their response. That is not the same as refusing Elon's request. Its simply saying the DOD will coordinate the response.

Hence the premise of this thread that somehow Elon and friends are being told to pound sand is nonsense. Certain departments have determined through their leadership to respond in a different manner.

I guess Elon could have called a department head meeting and tied up all these cabinet members who are finally able to sit down and sort through things after the Dems constipated the confirmation process.

Then they could have formed a committee on DOGE Responsibilities Communications and hired consultants to come in and determine that the best way to do this would be on a Zoom call with Oprah to help them deal.

Or he could blast an email out to every employee and see what the result is. Which is incredibly helpful in determining who is a team player for Trump and who is still beholden to the Deep State.

Hindsight is 20/20. There were likely better methods to determine if there were fraudulent Govies (ie not a real employee) or Govies w/o a one-over supervisor. They'll get it worked out. This is still a better scenario for the U.S. than Biden and Harris running a corrupt government bureaucracy. We're moving in the right direction.

That's kind of the whole point. Elon doesn't (or shouldn't) have the power to fire anyone. Yet he just threatened every federal employee. He says President Trump sent instructions, but I haven't seen anyone post proof.

Replying "working on sensitive / classified information under the direction of Special Agent Smith" would seem to satisfy this. Much ado about nothing and needs to be stream lined by Trump's team IMO.

Ted Cruz discussed it on the podcast this morning. They still have to send 5 things to their chain of command, but not to DOGE. They don't want some left wing nut sending emails with classified information to prove a point
