I've been to CA numerous times on business overt the last few years. I can assure you this scene is common all over the area.

This is what liberals have done for CA.

Look, I'm very happy that Kamala didn't win, but what in that video does she have anything to do with? Driving down a random street in her "hometown" that looks like a shantytown and saying you're glad she didn't win because otherwise all of America would look like this isn't exactly a compelling argument. You could find the same in my hometown or pretty much anyone else's. Doesn't mean I have anything to do with it.

I was unfortunate enough to be there about 8 years ago for a connecting flight out of San Francisco. It looked like this even then. Maybe it's a little worse now, but it was so bad even then that does it really matter trying to compare? Then I made my second mistake of taking the BART. Luckily we arrived really early so there weren't many people around at the time. My wife said she's never seen me so tense and alert. Of all the third world countries I've been to, Oakland was probably the worst place I've ever been.

Conduct a hypothetical interview. You show her this video and ask her "what do you think of this? What is the solution?"

What would be her answer?

The point is policies she endorses created this mess and her being President would have continued to unleash it onto the entire country right after Biden.

This whole post is just a bunch of nonsense but the bold is downright insane. You are missing the point. Nobody is saying this would happen to all of America. This would never happen in my hometown unless we went full on Soviet style communism. What the video is pointing out is that if we got California style policies nationwide, this would happen in a LOT more places. Bottom line is that leftist policies always lead to decay and ultimately ruin and misery.

She was the Border Czar wasn't she? Don't you think that the border crisis/unfettered illegal immigration contributed to what we're seeing in that video?

Not really. Show me one heavily conservative county in Texas where you can find a street that looks like that.

When I worked for Clorox, I refused to go to the home office (Oakland) for this reason. No chance I'm going to wade through this crap on a business trip. Instead, I'd visit the satellite office in Pleasanton. Quickest trips I ever made were when I had to go to that sh*thole of California.

Her hometown looks like that because of the policies she espouses. And it's not some random street. The entire city is a drug infested crime ridden hellhole. Oakland didn't always look like that.

It's sad to see people living that way. Homeless and hopeless. That what was formerly a great state has been so damaged by liberalism.

You can also thank Gavin Newsome and a long line of left leaning politicians of both parties. It's been all downhill since Reagan was governor.

Oakland is on the extreme end, like some other cities in CA. Then again there are pretty awesome cities like Palo Alto, Walnut Creek, Sausalito, and Berkeley Hills not too far away.

Posting again to address this specific line. No they are not the same. Oakland is several orders of magnitude worse. Every urban city has at least a little bit of it… A few tents here and a small encampment there. Oakland is on a completely different level. I'm assuming you've never been there because it truly does look like you are in one of the worst shantytowns of a third world country. And it's probably just as dangerous if not more so. Again, the point is simply that this is what the end results of left wing policies looks like…without fail…every single time.

Harris is liberal and a was a TERRIBLE candidate for president. But what specifically has she had to do with Oakland metro politics? Has she consulted with the city council on their policies? Granted, she had some impact on California policies when she served the state and represented their interests as a US Senator. But this is like saying Abbott sucks because Austin has a homeless issue. Hell, I'd wager he has more impact on local Austin policies than Harris does on local Oakland policies.

It's a just silly attempt.

Well, when pressed if she would vote for Prop 36 she wouldn't answer which leads me to believe she voted against it. It passed in a landslide despite Newsome and other top Dems opposing it.

You could say she didn't want to answer the question because she didn't want to lose potential voters in California but that's silly, everyone knew she was carrying that state in the election.

Not prosecuting theft of under $1000 is what led to many stores going under and relocating, especially in urban areas like LA and Oakland. When there's nothing left to steal you tend to devolve into 3rd world country conditions.

Say you've never been to CA without saying you've never been to CA. These scenes are not isolated or rare in CA. And there is no one living on the streets of To league like this. Absolutely zero.

You could drive through 100% of my hometown and not see anything close to that. For that matter, you could drive through 100% of anyplace I've ever lived and not find that kind of slum.

And do not make the mistake of suggesting this is just an isolated spot. Up and down most major streets in CA are parked cars and trailers with people living in them. You can go on Google maps and see it.

So when was Trump AG and Senator for Queens while it deteriorated? I also bet the first three years of Trump's presidency Queens improved with his Opportunity Zones until the virus was released from the Wuhan lab.

Kamala: Well you see the homeless people in California are homeless because they don't have a home
*cackles*
therefore, they are homeless.
I believe in the old adage, as California goes, so goes the country - do you know what I mean?

What we are seeing here is the significance of the passage of time, I was born a middle class child.
We are all being unburdened by what has been - right?

This isn't the worst part of Oakland. This is a typical street.

That's the point.
