Should donations to political campaigns be restricted to come only from constituents eligible to vote for the candidate they are endorsing?

Outside political donations, in my opinion, should be outlawed.

Obviously, President is a national office, so there would be no restrictions there.

I wish this would be addressed along with the clearly conspicuous practices of ActBlue.

No! The makeup of the Senate has a huge effect on us all! If I want to help McCormick win in PA, I should be allowed to do so!

Thankfully, this isn't an issue: FIRST AMENDMENT

Absolutely, should be limited to American citizens and each and every donor (to whatever PAC, etc) should be identified alongside their dollar amount. Enough is enough.

This would be required at any point their funds are used for political purposes, whether for legislation or funding a candidate. Dark money should no longer exist.

Pass the damn law, Republicans, NOW is your chance.

ETA: I see the discussion is about restrictions, which I'm not proposing unless by foreign actors. I am calling for complete and total transparency however, which will also allow us to grade the politicians and how they are bought and paid for. This would apply to both parties, BTW.
Pretty sure most of you don’t know me.

I knew someone who lived in Alaska who regularly donated to Ron Paul's campaigns. I see no reason that his right to do so should be restricted.
