NY Times article on Goldberg defaming a Staten Island bakery

TL;dr, Whoopi claimed on her show that she wanted a charlotte rouse, and the bakery refused her order, she claimed because she left her name, and they 'don't like her politics'. Conservatives across the state line up outside the bakery to ensure they aren't cancelled. Place is an institution in Staten Island, has been there for 146 years.

I hear you, and understand the sentiment, but I'll bet these folks would rather just put this behind them and get back to 'normal life' at their business. They probably spend very little time or energy worrying about politics. It takes all of what energy they have to just do the hard work necessary every day to put out their product and make payroll.

I place Goldberg in the same category as Polosi for all they know is hate. The other members of the view are a little below her but she is the ultimate.

Hate drives her, not just for Trump, but for all conservatives and anyone that does not agree with her.

If ever there are actual concentration camps for conservatives, I can see her directing the camps.

It works for them though. They know if they spew the most insane anti Trump, anti conservative garbage that conservatives will be outrages and tweet and retweet their garbage. They'll also be dearly adored by the left, which is what they want.

Nah. Let 'em stay. The more stupidity these people spew, the more they are going to drive people away from their ideology.

Right now there are probably more than a few more moderately minded democrats that shop at that bakery who know that what Whoopie is saying isn't true. It can be easy to ignore the internet commentary, but if you have firsthand experience, that is a powerful dose of reality.

Why do they keep saying it is just sponge cake, whipped cream, and a cherry?

It is originally made with lady fingers, Bavarian cream, some sort of berry jam, some berries, and then whipped cream.
