This is the main reason why leftists want to maintain control and influence on public schools. They are not having enough children to maintain their numbers. So they want to indoctrinate conservatives kids to ideologically wap them and add some to their numbers. But it is NOT going to work. I don't understand the need to blame an entire generation. I'm a boomer and have always voted for conservatives. All of my family and friends are the same. It's not the generations that are at fault, it's the leftist lunatics in each generation together with the people who, while not lunatics, will vote for their pocketbook over country.

The indoctrination generally doesn't work. Conservative or liberal is mostly genetic and relative to society. The only thing that affects political leaning are unique environmental aspects like marriage, kids, illness, injury, trauma, etc. Shared environmental issues like general society only move the Overton window left or right but they don't change whether a person is liberal or conservative relative to the Overton window, they just change what is liberal and what is conservative.

I agree. I think there were plenty of well meaning parents that thought it would all be ok. They just didn't realize how hard they had to push back against the rise of feminism, sexual revolution, etc. and had no idea how much BS their children were being taught. Conservatives are all very aware of it now, but primarily because of how poorly it was handled in the past

Only about 6% of kids are home schooled now, getting that to over 50% so you can eventually outvote public school kids is fantasy and would take forever at this point anyway.

I've seen this "outbreed the liberals" argument so many times but all you have to do is look around to see it won't matter. It's one of those things that only sounds realistic on paper.

Conditioning matters a lot more than parenting now. All people, adults and children, are bombarded non-stop by academia and pop culture. How much influence and time do parents have vs movies, TV shows, school, social media, pop music, etc.? Not much.

I see a ceiling though. It may be growing but it's still a speck on the map. Economics will create that ceiling. Having a middle class lifestyle and saving for kids college etc, on one salary, is harder than it was 10 years or 50 years ago. Plus most I see are heading that direction for religious reasons. The population is becoming less religious, unfortunately. That will eventually have some small impact on the movement. Or it will just concentrate those that can bust through the economic ceiling.

The Mexican government is screwed up, which does create a "gotta get mine" mentality that pushes people left, but socially, the grand majority of Mexicans align more with Republicans, and that's only growing stronger. The machismo element of Hispanic culture is absolutely a real thing, and it doesn't play well with a pink haired progressive telling Hector's 8-year-old son that he's actually a girl.

If the Ds keep pushing left they could see their advantage among Hispanics across the socioeconomic spectrum vanish. Heck, the polling says it's already happening.

Hispanics are culturally conservative but politically left in general. And the second part is repeatedly shown to win out, 2-1. For every "The most conservative guy I know is Hispanic!" there are two Julian Castros. I can't imagine why they will vote differently here in the future than they have done all over central and South America for ages but I guess we'll see.

2) I have two girls at A&M right now. The first completely rejected all the liberal indoctrination. The second started making some leftist type arguments, but, being raised in a good household, would actually listen to reason, and would usually back down pretty quickly. I went through a career downgrade right when she was in high school, so she has some concerns about the current capitalist society, but most of those concerns go away quickly with a little prodding. So, in my experience of 2, even if kids do listen to the gaslighting, they will use reason to question the positions if challenged. And reason is the death of leftist policies.

Been saying it for a while, the white liberal is doing everything they can to eliminate their bloodlines while conservatives are having significantly more children. That is why they are leaving the borders wide open. I don't like it, but at least latinos are a massive upgrade over the lowest and most pathetic lifeform on the planet...as well as the greatest threat to our country and our offspring...the modern white liberal.
