I can't even imagine why anyone would do this to a pet. This guy deserves all the scorn and jail time he gets.

Simple solution here...keep him incarcerated until the next storm....cuff him to a fence in a low-lying area. Give him the option of drowning, or cutting his hand off with a rusty butter knife.

The dog didn't have a tool to escape. He shouldn't get one either.

I was driving home from work on Hardy one day during lockdowns, and something on the railroad tracks caught my eye. It was a pit bull or rottweiler that had been tied to the tracks. It's head was about 5 ft from the body. Looked like it had been there a while. Absolutely breaks my heart people are this vile. At least this one hopefully went fast. I hope the dude that did that dies a slow painful death. Being the dog lover that I am (I love dogs more than most humans), that image stuck with me for weeks.

Glad they caught this guy. Now give him the same punishment he gave that innocent pup.

Good, wish there were harsher punishments for this like swallowing buckshot, but at least he will be prosecuted.

Not defending this. But this story gets more play and outrage than babies found in dumpsters.

Sounded like he had tried and failed to find a home for his dog in the prior weeks. He could have put it down, or left it in a back yard, both options would be much worse for dog....and better for the owner.

NEVER talk to the police.

Being the dog owner does not = person that tied it to the fence.

Only one way the solved this crime, and that's with a confession
