This makes me think of Harry R. Truman.

He was the old man who refused to evacuate his home very near Mount St. Helens when it was getting ready to erupt.

After Mount St. Helens erupted, I don't think they ever found him.

If he stayed it would have been the blue shed all over again if he made it.

He survived Helene, not sure how he will fare with this one

He's somewhat of a local celeb with at least 1 gofundme set up. So when it comes to bum life, he probably deserves the genius award....was going viral, would have probably been bigger on other end of storm had he stayed.

There's gonna be a lot of fat and happy crabs after they're done feasting on his dumb *** remains.

I have a condo on the harbor in Destin. Rode out a large tropical storm there one time. Sailboats usually come in before big storms., tie off in the harbor and find a dry place on land. Come back the next day and see if they have a home left. Some guy decided to ride this one out on his boat. OK, not for me but it wasnt a huge one and if it's the only thing you own I guess so.

What you do NOT do I discovered during that storm is change your mind during what you think its a lull in the action. I watched him struggle against the wind and waves for 45 minutes in a rowboat trying to get to dry ground. I felt an obligation to him to watch so I could describe his last moments of life to someone later. Im pretty sure he had no idea where he was when he got to shore or cared really! Never forgot it.

Funny thing is, the hurricane may suck all of the water out of the bay since it's tracking south of Tampa

He's gonna end up 100 feet in the air alright.
