Pink tie was legit. I am not gay but that was pretty badass tie. Very unusual and a good choice, I caught myself starring at it quiet a bit.

I think there's a difference between being a "progtard" and a "lib." Liberals are people like Joe Rogan or even a Bill Mahar. We will disagree on some things but usually they can get along with people and are willing to listen and have good dialogue.

Progressives (leftists) are emotional nutjobs who think the world can only function based on their point of view. It's religious zealotry.

There's gay people who fit into both categories. Apart from the gay marriage issue there's a lot of gay people who are quite conservative, too.
