A thirty year old (Charlie) who makes a living off of this stuff going up against college students who are still in their feelz and sound bytes, is about a fair a fight as Tyson fighting an 8 year old.

He missed multiple opportunities to talk about the real problem with colleges. It's not that colleges themselves are scamming kids. It's that they are merely opportunistic using the government forced middle class tax theft to generate revenues at the expense of students. The scam is on the part of the government USING academia as its tool.

If college isn't a scam, then you should be able to get rid of all government backing of loans without anything changing.

Except 75% of it would collapse. Because it is a government propped up scam.

Thanks for posting. The whole thing is worth a watch. The whole last segment where he flips it and picks a student to make a statement and he argues against it was good. Indeed very eye-opening to plainly see how brainwashed our youth has become. The one student, Parker I think(?), who just ignored the topic every time and switched it to attempt to destroy Kirk on religion/God, was very annoying but also clearly smart and strong with his interrupting and over-speaking - craziest thing about that was all the other kids thought he won his arguments against Kirk.

Agree. When I was in high school in the 80's a much smaller % of kids went to college than today. Parents and kids have been lied to (scammed) into believing that everyone "deserves" a college degree when what's happened is colleges have expended their degrees and size of schools in lesser degrees to get more money from families and taxpayers to become ever growing institutions that find new and exciting ways to waste that money.

The results are massive student loan debt, a generation of people demanding that others pay off their loan, and beautiful growing, expensive campuses that serve no purpose for the good of society.

I watched the whole thing yesterday and was more frustrated than pleased with the event. It really felt more like the presidential debate than any kind of meeting of the minds or attempts at trying to understand one side or the other. There was too much talking over each other and avoiding any direct answers of the questions. The whole vote to end a discusdion with red flags was stupid and irritating. It was more about trying to get gotcha moments as opposed to any real open discussion. I'll also admit that my expectations were probably not the goal of the exercise. The one kid that kept trying to bring religion into every "discussion" was treated as a debate guru by all of the other students when he really only came off as argumentative and arrogant. Nothing was resolved with this effort other than continued division. But, admittedly, I couldn't stop watching.

On one hand I thought the kids at least could speak and make an argument for what they believe. It's like Reagan said, " The trouble with our Liberal friends is not that they're ignorant; it's just that they know so much that isn't so."

Being loving and caring to those who are like you takes no effort. Converting them to be like you take more effort, but the one doing the converting still has it extremely easy compared to the one who has learned to accept, welcome, and even love someone who isn't the same.

There's many conservatives on here who have spoken about being married, related to and close with those same liberals, and any others who don't align with their religious or political views, yet they still have those close and loving relationships with them.

Those are the ones I'm asking him/her (don't want to assume) thinks about.
