Which would essentially shut down Easter and Gulf coast ports, or at least a significant amount of container, ro-ro and break bulk cargo. One of the demands they are making is to stop semi automated and automated ports, because of course they hate efficiency and technology if it encroaches on their members. Also demanding pay increases and better medical, among other things. This would have a major impact on our economy as nearly 90% of goods are transported by ship.

Most Americans don't realize the impact the international and inland waterways impact our daily lives, but it is immense. Definitely something to watch for.

The president seems like a buffoon but I would imagine is a pretty savvy and tough guy with some nefarious ties.

Per a friend who would know such things, every day they are on strike will end up causing a 5 day backlog/recovery period.

Useful Idiot ILA Union lackeys are too stOOpid to know automated terminals and semi automated terminals were created much because of these exact kinds of demands they fat cat union boss makes. Continually.

We need to have "paid" volunteer forces like a national guard of sorts that when these union idiots walk out, we drive them through the picket like with military transports and get the ports going again. Then if any equipment was found to be damaged to the point of non-functionality by the union lackeys on the way out the door, whoever did it gets The Chair.

Is it bad that I honestly do not care if they strike and it causes a drastic backlog and recovery period?

If idiots keep peddling and voting for nonsense like this, then they have not suffered enough through their own consequences to learn yet.

It will suck for most of America, but hard times create strong men.
