This is the kid of crap that makes me angry. How did we leave Apache helicopters? Why didn't we burn everything? How is this real??? Our government spent trillions on this war, and this is all we have to show for it.

I'm shocked they actually have those Apaches flying. Those things are a maintenance nightmare. What a disaster. Take solace in knowing that equipment won't be operable much longer save maybe the Hummers.

i didn't see any apaches.

Also good to see they are making another Sacha Baron Cohen Dictator movie

We trained some of their soldiers and left some of the equipment with them. And now they're on the Taliban side. Or maybe they always were.

if Trump were president this would not have played out this way. if he took office on the day of that parade he would have dropped a MOAB on their heads. alas we have dementia patient and cackles as our leadership.

There aren't any,

Looks like Mi-17s and Mi-24s, or maybe some of the upgraded versions with different model numbers.

Pretty disgusting that our admin let all that equipment fall into the hands of one of our top enemies like that. Lord only knows how many millions of dollars that all totals. Just beyond comprehension.

LOL at the guys that got stuck riding the $350 motorcycles. And the higher end guy riding in a POS jeep that looks like it's 50 years old.

We should have used Bagram for the evacuation, and anything we weren't going to take out should have been piled up at the base.

2 minutes after the last plane left the base, we should have carpet bombed the place with a full on strike by B-52s and B-1s.

Yep, no Apaches.

I nice MOAB strategically dropped in the middle of that would have solved a lot of problems.

It was all planned to be left for the Afghan army. It wasn't just abandoned.

Afghanistan in August? Much better to be on a cheap motorcycle than in an MRAP with broke A/C.

Either way: all of their existences suck. And doubly so for their women.

lol. We knew we were ceding it all to the terrorists. The 2012 abandonment by our "allies" was a foretaste. The 2021 collapse was eminently predictable. There was no basis to believe the ANA had the cultural stability to stand on their own.

The Afghan army was already defeated before we even left, so that is complete bs.

The Taliban's display of power is paying off for them. Now you got Americans reaching out to them for help.

How big of a slap in the face is it to the people that spent 20-years operating and maintaining equipment now being paraded around by the Taliban?

What are the odds those American citizens reaching out to the Taliban will be indicted by our biased corrupt AG and State Department?
Among the latter, under pretence of governing they have divided their nations into two classes, wolves and sheep.”

You don't see the Apache Helicopters, because the Taliban sold them to the Russian and Chinese. Those guys were over there the next day picking through American gear.

The failures in Afghanistan were the result of 20 years of CIA failures and a misguided approach even at the start of the war.

The Afghanistan Papers revealed the Bush and especially Obama administration CIA officials knew much of the Afghan Army was only existent on paper and blatantly lied to Congress about it. We supplied enough uniforms, guns, and other materials for a 300,000 man army and never publicly admitted that we knew the Afghani military officials lied about their recruiting numbers.

The grift was so bad in Afghanistan that even to build a simple gas station cost the US government millions of dollars due to how many people had to be paid off.

The story about the CIA lying to Congress lasted about 12 hours in the press because as we all know the CIA basically controls all the major media outlets now. No one in that agency will ever be held accountable for anything. Remember the torture program? The only guy who went to prison in relation to that was the whistleblower.

In hindsight The enthusiasm to invade Afghanistan and Iraq after 9-11 shocks the conscience.

Manipulating Americans 20-years later for Covid was a cake walk. Nothing could've been easier.

Recent history has shown at least 80% of Americans are braindead people in XXL meat suits that are incapable of self governance.
