Pepsi is super woke. Okay, all global mega-corporations/crony capitalists are super woke.

This should make it quite clear that working for the upper echelons of the federal government is very lucrative. By these numbers, she was willing to take a $900,000 pay cut to protect the President.
Not real in anyone's world unless the perks that were offered are beyond most people's imaginations.

I'd think her getting on with Pepsi was politically driven.

Nancy Pelosi's stock picks alone probably make it worth it.

So she worked at Pepsi for ~4 years at a $1.2 million salary after 25 years as a government employee and she has a net worth of $10 million? Who's her investment manager, Nancy Pelosi's husband? She's making less than $300k as the director. Even if she averaged $200k/yr over the entire 25 years she worked for the government, her net worth is exactly what she's earned over her entire career. That makes no sense.

She made in 4 years at Pepsi what she would've made in 25 years as civil servant if she avg $200K.

Net worth includes property value. Look at the properties she owns. Likely appreciated significantly over the time she's had them. That alone would make the $10 million number believable, even accounting for debt load. I "make" between 100 and 200k per year, depending on how much I want to work, and have a net worth of close to 4 million, because of real estate in California. Of all things to stand out on this POS woman, this isn't one that's worth even talking about.

She's a political appointee.

Appointed to a position because she was probably a well connected donor.
Putting her in charge of the SS was moronic, but nothing unexpected from this administration

I understand how net worth works as well. My point I was making is what are the odds that a 25+ yr government employee has multiple properties in arguably one of the most expensive cities and states in the US. The vast majority of people do not have a net worth equal to or greater than their career earnings. Barring some inherited wealth or high earning spouse she missed her calling and should have started an investment company.

I bet it's hard for her to sleep at night. It's on her mind as soon as she wakes up in the morning.

Mr and Mrs. Crooks probably don't sleep either. "Where did we go wrong raising our son." Any siblings, cousins or relatives think about it everyday.

The victims families are in a world of hurt.

Bad situation all around.

People need prayer.

$200,000*25 = $5 million

Over 25 years, you'd expect $5 million invested to double twice, minimum, so you'd be looking at a net worth of $20 million.

Secret Service has a three-tiered pension plan including Social Security and TSP, it isn't difficult to believe she has over $1 million in the pension after 25 years. Add in some real estate and heavy investing while working for Pepsi, $10 million net worth isn't had to believe at all.

Running security for PepsiCo is not a random assignment for an intelligence operative. I think you are dismissing that erroneously.

I won't clutter up this thread with what some consider a 'conspiracy theory' but there is ample discussion of this nexus online elsewhere.

With no intent to resign, I was wondering what protection/promise$ she has been made to take that barrage yesterday.

That was brutal.
She's the most villainized person of the last 23 years. There has to be a reason ($$$) she continues on….

Is her life under threat? What is she protecting?

Oh the irony:

Quote:

Though the skills and confidence to lead are important for any industry, integrity and flexibility are particularly important for security, Cheatle says. "First and foremost is integrity. Your word is really all you have and if people don't trust you, you've lost before you get in the door," she adds.

Trust plays a pivotal role as enterprise security leaders make recommendations to business stakeholders that align with the company's vision as closely as possible while ensuring operational continuity and the safety and security of the company's people and assets. And, though it sounds unrelated, with that trust and integrity must come flexibility, Cheatle says.

"$200,000*25 = $5 million"

Your assumption that she has zero expenses and income tax in $200k salary / year is a little lax in your analysis.

Read my post again, I was contradicting the poster who said her net worth equaled her salary for 25 years.

That and real estate can get you there quick if you're lucky on place and timing. It happens.

I never thought I'd see "Vegas or California" pricing in Georgetown, TX but here we are nearly four times the population we were 20 years ago and no end in site.
