If she were the candidate they would be waving the white flag while maintaining the DEI high ground and trying to save a few seats down ticket. Polling wouldn't matter at that point (other than whether or not they were throwing in the towel) and she'd take the fall. If they think someone could actually win, it won't be Kamala IMO.

Yep, we're witnessing a power struggle within the Democrat Party, and the individuals you listed control where the money goes.

I find it unlikely Harris will be the nominee. She's uniquely unlikable and unelectable. Her lack of intellect, condescending delivery, inability to articulate, and grating personality are terrible from a political standpoint. Give Americans 4 months of her squawk box and she's less likely to win than Biden.

The immediate endorsement of Harris by Biden seems like a revenge play to me. Joe and Jill are mad they forced him out, so they try to make it impossible to nominate anyone else.

Then, when Harris goes down in flames, they'll be able to claim "I told you so". The last thing the Bidens want is for his replacement to win.

yep exactly. They pushed Biden out because he was going to lose a lot of the middle. Dems think they can pull them back in with anyone.
