I can understand the sentiment of saying all sides tone down, he can't come out and say now it's our turn to take one of yours.

Having said that, one side is responsible for all violence over the last who knows how many years.

A 20-year old loser had a AR-15 type rifle with a silencer he looked like a Reddit nerd. He was convinced and offered a lot to do what he did. This kid did not know that building would be available for him to climb up on. He was told that building would be available he sacrificed himself for the deep state. That doesn't mean that past rhetoric should be ignored. People who advocated violence leading up to this event need to be held accountable.

Really not sure what else he can say. Certainly rhetoric from the right can soften, but only if the left does it first. Since Trump road the escalators, he has been the recipient of first strike attack, only to be labeled the bully, instigator by the MSM.

Remember the MSM pushed the narrative that they wanted to beat up a minor for wearing a red cap.

My expectation is they will not stop. It took two collapse buildings and 3k dead for them to unify for only 2 weeks. Then it was back to business as normal.

Not just Trump. MAGA Republicans are a threat to Democracy per Biden himself. Anyone campaigning for Trump or part of his organization are targets and won't have even the poor protection Trump had at a public event. I predict there will be more violence against conservatives. I think you answered your own question with the bolded part. Leftism (collectivism) cannot coexist with freedom. The only peaceful solution is to divide the country. It's either that or we let them have their way. It should be obvious by now, that they won't stop. They're not going to just wake up one day and decide they can be collectivist while leaving liberty-minded people alone. No, according to their ideology, we ALL must participate to make it work. Collectivism: an idea so good it must be mandatory.

Agree 100% but that's not the anger drug that many are now addicted to in our country. Folks have picked a team and picked social and media outlets that feed their musguided self righteousness.

Any "Republican" who immediately goes to "both sides need to calm down" rhetoric after this is part of the problem. Biden, the Deep State, the Media, and everyone else that has been all but fantasizing about Trump being assassinated need to be held to account and grovel. Then we can talk about "calming down".
