Tell me again why we are addressing man made warming? Man is disappearing.

Africa and the Muslims are the only ones having kids anymore.

This is not a prediction.

It's the TFR in 2021 of every inch of planet Earth. It's simple math. Fewer children=population decline. China and others are already on the downhill side of it.

Gods first command to people. Be fruitful and multiply.

This is the devils work we are seeing.

We've become comfortable and selfish. Having children is expensive and takes a lifetime of work. People who are taught the world is ending due to GW have no desire to go through that kind of sacrifice anymore.

So, what you're saying is that poor people in ****hole countries are propagating the world.

Poor people typically need more manual labor and have religious customs than promote large families to provide income and support long term. High infant mortality and shorter lifespans encourage having more kids with the hope they live beyond their parents.

We just happen to be in the middle part of the cycle where the death rates are decreasing, but birth rates remain high.

When they reach financial security their birth rates go down.

Following a global crisis or a change in financial security humans will again shift to having more kids.

If its not a prediction, then in what way are 'we' in the present day 'screwed' because of decreasing fertility rates ?

Lower IQ, no access to BC, etc...

Also, with Muslims, perhaps it's religion driven?!

Regardless, we are headed for the dark ages. The high tech civilization we've created can't be maintained based on that graphic.

Taiwan is totally screwed and they make 90% of the world's computer chips. You think supply chain with COVID caused issues. Gonna get ugly.

I guess I should have left Ian off and just posted the graphic. Sigh.

Do you have anything beyond some dude that lived 200 years ago, in a time where we rode horses, burned wood for heat and **** outside in a hole, to support your prediction?

Long story, short: Every modern economy has been driven by population growth.

You have younger people working and consuming to drive more demand for production and economic growth. When older generations retire and can't work and there is not sufficient replacement in the workforce or to drive economic demand via consumption, bad things tend to happen. Decreases in demand, lower workforce, lower consumption, fewer jobs, less economic production, less ability to support the olds = economic shrinkage and spiral.

South Korea is getting there first. China and Taiwan are right behind. Japan not too terribly far behind.

Increasing capital production says hello. We need less people to produce the same amount of stuff. Plus we have more leisure time.

SK, China, and Japan also have closed borders and largely anti-immigration policies.

Yes a particular region has high fertility rates, but their mortality rate is crazy high as well.

Take a look at www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qar4jWrsrhg

around 7:45

Elon Musk talking about his Teslabots:
Quote:

What is an economy? Sometimes people think an economy is money. Money is a database for exchange of goods and services and for time shifting the exchange of goods and services. Money is a database. Money doesn't have power in and of itself.

If you're shipwrecked on an island, and you've got a trillion dollars in a Swiss bank account, it's worthless. You'd rather have a can of soup.

The actual economy is goods and services. So then what limits the output of goods and services? The limiter is labor. Even capital is distilled labor. So the limiting factor for the economy is labor, and so if you address the limiting factor for the economy then it's not clear that an economy in a traditional sense has any meaning anymore because you have no constraint on goods and services. The only things that will be missing are things that have artificial scarcity, where we decide to make it scarce, like a particular piece of art or particular home in a particular location...

Lol, when was the last time you bought a car from Africa? Hell, when was the last time you turned something upside down and read "Made In Africa"

If productivity were the key, we'd have already done that instead of offshoring like we did. We didn't just discover mass production.

The low IQ 3rd world immigrants coming here are not the savior you think they are.

Do yourself a favor and watch Ziehans complete presentation.

And we keep inflating their population with aid - meds, food, and potable water...just so they can breed a bunch more rail thin, half dying children with disease and distended bellies.

Northern Somalia was one the worst places I ever saw back in the 90's. Death and famine can be the mother of radical change, but as long as we kept juicing their ability to survive and pro-create, they had no insentive to do better. Basically, it was a welfare state. Throw in armed mobs holding food and supplies as ransom for fealty to whatever mobster that was aligned with Farah Aidid and this situation was made even worse.

Fewer. We need more out of those people who are left running point on capital production; not lesser. The type of production going forward is planned to be done by robotics and automation. So, these people need to be smarter and retooled for those types of jobs. Lesser people won't be able to operate that in capacity.
