Like Palin, Mulkey doesn't come from anything other than a regular American middle class family. When she was growing up, some of her family members worked for some of mine. They were typical Louisiana folks, hardworking and reliable. My grandmother watched Mulkey grow up and achieve notoriety, and she was proud to know her. Everything Mulkey has achieved was through super-hard work. As a player and as a coach.

Her family wasn't rich, she isn't Wonder Woman, and no one gave her anything. Leftists hate that.

The Black sports website offshoot of ESPN was just criticizing her, of course, on how she mistreated her black players when Angel Reese was out early in the season for unknown reasons. She certainly pushes the right buttons

Sounds like Mulkey is trying to get ahead of the WaPo's story. Whatever it is, to preemptively call it out during a tournament press conference and threaten to sue instead of talking about the team your facing, speaks volumes about what might be exposed. If a two-year investigative expose is about to be published, I'd be shocked if WaPo's libel lawyers didn't clear it first.

Mulkey should be careful about suing though, if there's enough smoke there's usually fire. Getting sued opens the door to discovery, and any top-tier D1 coach as more than enough skeletons in the closet they'd prefer to stay there.

Because the legal depts of various media outlets have provided solid advice lately. Trump participating in golden fountains and the list goes on.


Screw them, they deserve to be targeted by lawsuits by the firm she hired.

Her lawyers have advised her of this. She's also not stupid. You are about to pick a fight with the press. You better be damn sure you are ready. I don't believe she would move forward without thinking all of this through.

She's put the WaPo in an interesting position now. I don't see any way they can't publish the story but I'm sure they are scrubbing it.

As I recall, she was a bit of a turd when A&M won a women's natty. Never liked her.

However, **** journalists generally, sports journalists more specifically, and the Washington Post in particular. They are bitter little people who only have the ability and desire to tear down better, more talented people.
