Great, now quit voting 2:1 for Democrats who support those who hate and despise you.

Hundreds of Jewish creatives and Hollywood professionals including Debra Messing and Eli Roth denounce British director Jonathan Glazer's Oscar speech in open letter
  • After winning the award for Best International Feature for his film Zone of Interest, British-born Glazer said that his movie showed 'where dehumanization leads at its worst. It's shaped all of our past and present'

Around 500 prominent Hollywood figures have signed an open letter condemning Jewish director Jonathan Glazer Oscars acceptance speech, accusing him of likening Israel's assault on Gaza to the treatment of Jews during the Holocaust.

The letter was published Monday by Variety. It was signed by luminaries such as Debra Messing, Eli Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh and Julianna Margulies.

After winning the award for Best International Feature for his film Zone of Interest, British-born Glazer took to the podium and said that his movie showed 'where dehumanization leads at its worst. It's shaped all of our past and present.'

'Right now, we stand here as men who refute their Jewishness and the Holocaust being hijacked by an occupation which has led to conflict for so many innocent people,' he continued.

'Whether the victims of October whether the victims of October the 7th in Israel or the ongoing attack on Gaza, all the victims of this dehumanization, how do we resist?'

In response, the letter says: 'We refute our Jewishness being hijacked for the purpose of drawing a moral equivalence between a Nazi regime that sought to exterminate a race of people, and an Israeli nation that seeks to avert its own extermination.'....

The Dems have made a simple power seeking calculation: there are a LOT of Muslims. There aren't that many Jews. Dems will pander to the greater numbers when they perceive an advantage is emerging.

Quite possible.

But while Muslims have the numbers, Jews have a lot of money, power, and influence. It could be a miscalculation.

There will be a turnover point. Some are testing the waters to see if they are getting closer to it.

Hadn't considered that. You're probably right. It'll be amusing to watch them get thrown under the bus.

Israel and the Palestinian movement both have bloody hands in the last century, and credulous Christians get pulled into the fight by a Zionist cabal that figuratively and literally spits on them when they have a chance.

Glazer is ashamed of his Jewishness because of what Israel has done to the Palestinians since taking over after WW2. It's his right to have that opinion.

It's his right to have that opinion. It wasn't his right to express it at the Oscars.

both have bloody hands very little sympathy for the Palestinians now outside the halls of the Political Left

Zionist cabal - laughable that term would be used on this forum

Israel has "blood on their hands" in the same sense that police have "blood on their hands" when they kill a mass shooter.

On this board of judeo-conservatives Israel can do no wrong, and if you deviate from that narrative, then you're just a Hamas supporting terrorist. No doubt if there had been a forum 16 in 1967 they would have been defending Israel's attack on the USS Liberty.

Nice to see Club Hamas check in with their typical pro-terrorist point of view.

If Israel went Gandhi, committed itself to non-violence tomorrow, and dismantled every last bit of their military, then within months there would be no more Israel. The *******s you pimp for would make certain of that, killing every Jew they could get their hands on.

If Palestinians were to do something similar and renounce terror, then they would see peace and progress in a short time.

Every instance of Israel having blood on their hands, as you put it, has been done to preserve their nation against the Islamo-Fascist scum you and Biden support.

Jewish elites/libs are so silly. I have to remind myself that not all Jews, especially those in Israel, are like them. Too bad they're the face of Judaism to most of America.

Maybe try being against BOTH Israel and Hamas. Stop our tax dollars being used for both. Then you can develop a pro-USA strategy.

Until then anyone finding themselves as pro-Israel or pro-Hamas is going to be played like a fiddle.

If you support Hamas, you support terrorism. And since most Palestinians are in supportive of Hamas, support for them means you support terrorism. It's really not that hard.

Hamas and Palestine started this latest crap and now it's raining back on them tenfold. War is always horrible but your anger should be at those that started it on October 7.

Christians really have no dog in this fight right now, but by all means push that false narrative. It's OK to support Israel, in fact, it's the correct thing to do.

But regarding these Hollywood people? They are massive hypocrites, because they all vote Democrat for the most part. So they're yelling at their own party without even making the connection.

The Jewish Hollywood types are claiming to be shocked by this anti-Semitism, but they haven't really paid a lot of attention to their own party. And they will continue to vote for them. Which is just astoundingly ridiculous. They are yelling at themselves, basically.
Currently a happy listless vessel and deplorable. #FDEMS TRUMP 2024.

What false narrative? I just think we should stay out of it, monetarily or otherwise. And I don't think Israel is our greatest ally, because they don't act like it. I have zero anger at them cleaning house in Gaza and eliminating Hamas.

Israel is the only non-Muslim country in their neighborhood. Islamic countries don't like that.

Look what happened to Lebanon.

Islamists will always talk about how Christian, Jews and Muslims lived in peace UNDER Islamic rule. They point to Spain as their example. Most non-Muslims were treated as 2nd class citizens under Islamic rule. But they don't mention that.

Israel is a bulwark against Islamic conquest. That is the real story here. And the United States and Israel have been close allies since Israel formed in the 1940s

Speaking of invectives.

There are actual posters on this board that want every Palestinian in Gaza killed and have said exactly that. But please, reserve your outrage for anyone who mildly criticizes Israel. As to your insult, well you can piss off with that, I've done plenty of time in the Middle East thanks to our foreign policy misadventures.

In my neighborhood -- where non-election political signs are not allowed -- there are multiple houses with pro-Palestinian flags, signs and displays in the yard. I lived here 20 years and never seen anything like it. This isn't Austin.

The HOA is either afraid to act or the homeowners are ignoring them.

You can see which way the wind is blowing.
