That one officer mag dumped and reloaded.

Good grief. She should be making sammiches...in prison.

Nothing in the video warranted that response.

Holy sh** a team of two females? They aren't required to have a male guide/handler?

In all seriousness, I cannot believe how many female HPD officers I see in Houston. They are almost never white though so this video caught me off guard. Whether male or female, it is extremely rare for me to see an officer and think "yeah, that person seems physically qualified for the job".

The video needs to start a minute earlier at the beginning for full context.

But based on the limited bit we saw, those officers should have their badges taken away, pensions revoked, and spend prison time.

Need to see the minute or so before the video starts though for full context.

While I do want to hear more, I am having an extremely hard time pondering extreme scenarios in which something like this could be justified.

Crazy that the victim wasn't killed...excellent shooting, ladies.

I'd like to know the back story here. If white male police officers would have done that, BLM would be burning and looting right now.

Also need to know why they were there in the first place.

An allegedly armed 28-year-old Houston woman who attempted to get into her apartment was shot by deputies responding to calls of a break-in on Saturday. Multiple investigations into the incident are being conducted to determine if deputies were following normal procedures.

Deputies responded to the break-in calls at the Pines of Woodforest apartment complex at 90 Uvalde Rd. Saturday. The caller reported someone was "inside her apartment," according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

The first deputy arrived to the scene to clear the apartment and no intruder was initially located. Before leaving, a neighbor told deputies that someone had broken into another nearby apartment.

That's when deputies discovered a broken glass window near the front door of an apartment. Upon knocking and announcing their presence, deputies reportedly noticed a woman approaching the front door holding a firearm. The two deputies at the scene discharged their weapons and shot the woman.

"Investigators later determined that the wounded female is a resident of the apartment and that she and another female had broken their own window to get inside because they did not have the apartment key," according to the Harris County Sheriff's Office.
Those cops ... may be facing some problems.

Two empty magazines per cop. That is ... what? ... sixty rounds?

Someone needs some range time.

I generally tend to give the officers the benefit of the doubt in these situations, but in this case, these ladies need to be stripped of their badges and run out of the law enforcement profession. Maybe even some criminal liability.

It looks like they both fired two full clips into that apartment. No telling how many people they put in jeapordy in the surrounding units with that many bullets flying around. There is no excuse for that cluster.

it is bad, but the women did actually break into the apartment, which is why the police were initially called. Just a disaster all the way around.

We're looking at what happens when the wrong decision is made and then cranked to eleventy.

As others said, they'll be former officers soon and likely will spend time in prison. JFC, that was so uncalled for.

It's a very unfortunate and coincidental incident. Not excusing the shooting or anything, but geez, someone reports a break-in, you see the broken glass, then someone approaches the front door with a gun? Maybe mag dumping is excessive, but i could see how this could be a recipe for something bad to happen.

My main takeaway, is stay away from low income high crime areas. If you're a cop, just act like you're patrolling but do not engage the citizens or try to fight crime. Don't investigate reported crime, just tell the locals that you will. It's simply not worth it...nothing good can come from it, and there's so much crime you're not even chipping away at it. But I would strongly advise against being a cop.

What the F is wrong with these officers, they have the Brains of a fire ant.. they should be publicly reprimanded and pay personal restitution to this lady, when I was younger I had to break a window in my house to get in because I was drunk and Lost my keys like a drunk idiot, however, because I lost my keys I didn't deserve the right to get my house blown to hell with bullets and take 5 rounds into my body…screw those losers for shooting up someone's house

No, it was not. The two residents were ALREADY INSIDE their apartment.

As someone said above, it would be nice to see the preceding couple of minutes of video. Given the way that these two officers emptied their weapons (in obvious fear), I question whether they indeed DID adequately identify themselves to the folks in the apartment.

The homeowner (and a friend I think?) broke into it by smashing glass, after having been locked out, is what I read.

Based on their decision making abilities range time might be the LAST thing these gals need

Kinda like Acorn man last week. No way you want them to have good aim.

Ok I don't want morons like that to have a gun.

Never seen cops fire for effect into an apartment complex like that.

They weren't aiming at anything in particular. They went full spray 'n pray.

Wonder how many rounds went through the walls into neighbors apartments.

The homeowner locked herself out, broke the window so she could climb in. A neighbor called and said they saw an intruder break in. The cops show up and see a broken window.

The homeowner then decides it's a good idea to come to the door/window to greet the cops with a gun in her hand...so they open fire.

Not saying the cops reacted appropriately. They obviously didnt...I mean, emptying 4 freaking magazines, and just firing indiscriminatingly into the apartment? It's hard to imagine that lady survived. She can thank her lucky stars these officers were such bad shots.

But also, who here would be dumb enough to greet the cops like that?
Logos Stick
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Shouldn't the officers have told the lady to drop the weapon before opening fire?

I get they are scared, but you cant simply blast away because someone is armed.

I think they should be fired but they won't be because we live in DEI Idiocracy now.

You are assuming that the resident(s) KNEW that the people at her door were LEOs.

Yes, LEOs are SUPPOSED to identify themselves, but the conduct of these two officers leaves me questioning whether they actually did so.
