It's been awesome to watch the Mike Benz interview by Tucker Carlson slowly trickle out over the last couple of days.

In the interview, he breaks down the history of social media censorship over the last decade by the "color revolution blob".

If you're unfamiliar with Mike Benz, he is a former State Department official and expert in cyber censorship with an encyclopedic knowledge of American domestic and foreign spycraft/statecraft over the last century.

Agreed. I put this on the Missouri v. Biden thread but this is worth its own topic, imho. Very real dangers are quite present to political speech and those threats are…coming from our own government.

Watched this last night. Stunned, but not surprised. Very pissed.

Benz was phenomenal at explaining what has happened.

Highly recommend that everyone watch this even though it's lengthy.

It is an outstanding history of how Cold War tactics have gradually been turned into a control mechanism used on the American Electorate.

Stay focused on the Trump narrative..it's what they want. Trump is the only threat they fear.

House Small Business Committee Republicans have continued to request grant records from the State Department's Global Engagement Center for an inquiry into "government censorship and revenue interference of American small businesses by proxy," which the committee launched after a series of Washington Examiner reports on the interagency group funding the Global Disinformation Index, a British think tank blacklisting conservative media from advertising dollars. Now, the Biden administration is asserting it may resort to letting the GOP-led panel review documents solely under in camera supervision, which lawmakers say is a "veiled threat to further impede" their investigation, letters show.

The heightened tension between U.S. officials and congressional investigators comes as the state of Texas and two conservative media outlets, the Daily Wire and the Federalist, press ahead in a lawsuit against the GEC for allegedly funding an unconstitutional "censorship scheme." The lawsuit names top officials, including Secretary of State Antony Blinken, and centers on the GEC's prior awarding of federal funds to the Global Disinformation Index and NewsGuard, a company purporting to track "misinformation" online. Both GDI and NewsGuard were mentioned in the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act, which included a provision aiming to ban the Pentagon from awarding them cash.

"This committee will not be deterred by State's hedging, threats, or other impediments to
its investigation," Williams and Van Duyne wrote in their Friday letter to Rubin and Durakoglu, who notably was a fellow between 2017 and 2021 for the Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab, a think tank office that partnered with the GEC on the 2021 grant that saw the Global Disinformation Index take home $100,000.

The Atlantic Council's Digital Forensic Research Lab "appears to have played a significant role in censorship of U.S. citizens during both the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2020 and 2022 U.S. elections," according to House Foreign Affairs Committee Republicans. Moreover, the taxpayer-backed lab sought to pressure Twitter, now X, to remove 40,000 accounts it claimed engaged in "inauthentic behavior" while boosting Hindu nationalism, though the list was "full of ordinary Americans, many with no connection to India and no clue about Indian politics," according to journalist Matt Taibbi.

I knew parts of this and suspected it was more coordinated than I Ad thought but this is frankly alarming. We are being secured and protected into submission and subjugation by groups of elitists who have rationalized what they are doing is for the greater moral good. It is rather all Orwellian, and I don't think it is going to be easy to deal with because many of the elements involved may only understand their portion of the architecture, and nearly all the participants believe they are righteous.

As an aside I often think of the show "Homeland". It was on Showtime I believe a few years back for several seasons. The thing about it was they consulted heavily with people that worked in the CIA and NSA and other government organizations in making it. The actual plot lines were fiction of course but the methods and what the government does underneath the covers. The "Behind the scenes" interviews were really interesting as you could tell they had a lot of Mike Benz types consulting as well as field agents.

A few seasons in they had a plot line around some right wing radio host that was kind of Alex Jones like. That was kind of dumb but the interesting part was they showed how the government had this fake company they had set up and at the heart of it was a huge bank of people who worked countless bot accounts and manipulated information flow that they tracked in real time on the internet to influence public opinion. They would bully out dissenting voices and amplify the ones they wanted, many of which were simply fake ones they were creating. Of course they tried to make the point about evil conservatives being the danger but it was easy to see how it could be flipped the other way or whichever way they wanted.

I've gotten to the point where I assume everything is manipulated until I see otherwise. Unfortunately most people don't want to believe that they are pawns being moved without their knowledge. I have a liberal buddy I've mentioned here before who just eats up everything from the MSM and NYT. He has a PhD and thinks he is so smart. It just staggers me how easy it is to manipulate highly educated people, in many ways it is easier because of their hubris that it can't happen to them. I've told him of my lack of trust of pretty much all news until verified and he commented about how terrible it must be to think that way. I told him it's actually quite liberating. It truly is a Matrix/Red Pill feeling. Of course the thing that makes it harder is there is actual truth out there as well and you can't go to far down the other path, it just takes a lot of effort to stay informed and objective and most people aren't willing to do so. It's easier and less stressful for most to simply stay plugged in.

It's an open secret, for now. A huge deal.

Worth the follow absolutely on twitter and also I've bookmarked the site (below). The immediate censorship around covid in 2019 is something he discusses halfway through the first part of that interview.

These are a critical 9 months in human history, imho (between now and Nov).

Anyone else connecting the theme of this video and the rise of the "attack on democracy " narrative being pushed by the left? There is so much to unpack from that interview..

roughly 41:00-44:00 when Benz is describing the methods DHS was using to remove unfriendly narratives from internet, he mentions that there was direct coercion by DHS towards tech company executives.

One thing not mentioned here is these tech executives were all extremely friendly and supportive of left leaning narratives. It was easy for them to be like "sure let's do this..."

I just so happened to watch "Oppenheimer " yesterday and it's telling of how the elites controlled the narrative around the bomb. I asked the question, "What are they doing now" and that video exposes what they are doing now. Really scary stuff.

Could be true that this is already outdated but it still tells a story wrt the elites controlling things at the expense of the rest of us. I know I felt strongly that this sort of thing was happening but this is by far the most cogent summary of the history and the how and who that I have seen.

I'm going to slightly disagree..this is only online because of Elon Musk and his commitment to free speech. Kind of ironic given my new awareness of the "Censorship Industry ".

How long do you want to ignore this user?
As they discuss in the interview, they were not prepared for the internet. The old guard, the old ways don't work anymore. Major news was always propaganda. While we had small avenues like Breitbart, the barrier to entry for info was...going on Breitbart. Now, X and social media in general can reach vast swaths. This terrifies global election manipulators now that discourse can't be turned off like a switch.

Also interesting that ISIS was the predicate to censor in the states. Didn't Obama and the CIA create ISIS? Why wait for a reason to censor when you can just create it and control it yourself. Now that's the true depth of evil from the left.

We saw the devastating effects during covid.

Only X and only because of Musk. Given what that video just showed me, that video wouldn't have been able to reach its audience without Musk buying Twitter. As far as I'm concerned, the censorship is still active on all other platforms.

My God...what an enlightening, and at the same time, soul-crushing interview. Our government is corrupt to the core. 2016 may have been the last time our votes actually counted for something. As of 2020, the government agencies and bureaucrats are choosing our government representation. What a sad f-ing state of affairs.

So no comment on this specific interview, huh? Just more gibberish nonsense.

Pretty telling that this is all you can troll with.
