The funny thing is I'm anti-ev, now work in oil and gas, and drive an ev. My full mileage is normally ~ 230 miles. With this extreme cold weather the max is ~185 right now. It has to warm the batteries and that's murdering the mileage.
Same. If you regularly drive longer distances and live in a cold climate an EV would be a poor decision. Hence the owners being idiots.

No. I'm gong to charge at home. Then drive to work and back home an charge again at home.
Pathetic. EVs may get there one day, but they're a long way off from ever replacing ICE vehicles.
This should be posted over and over again to keep it simple. If you need one reliable car vs maintaining several for different use cases, then buy ICE.
