Gabbard left the Democratic party and Democrats hate her more than they do Trump. When she was very critical of Democrats she incensed Democrats.
I don't agree with all of her positions but she has changed her position on many stances which means she is willing to change and has an open mind. She, as a Democrat, sponsored or co-sponsored many bills that Democrats were totally against.
