and yet he is running as a republican, and not under the mythical Conservative Party banner.
And? What is your point?
It certainly can't be that the Republican party as a whole is conservative because the only thing they have acted towards conserving is the slow drift to the left. DeSantis is unique and does not fit that description, like I said...
and? what is YOUR point.
you are the one that said "muh conservative" as if that matters to this topic. he is running as and with the same Republicans you are complaining about as if that means he will accomplish any more that any other president labeled "republican" since he has to work with said "republicans".
I agreed with YOUR initial premise.... I'm not sure why you are being so defensive when I was agreeing with you in the first place....
DeSantis is a conservative... Do you agree?
The Republican Congress just passed a 1.7T in new spending, which is not a very conservative stance in my opinion... Do you agree?
If so, this it has been painfully obvious for quite some time that the stance of the Republican party is to conserve the slow drift to leftism rather than traditional conservative values....
DeSantis does not do enable the slow drift to leftism but rather pushes back, therefore my statement which agreed with YOUR initial premise that a conservative likely will not get much done with a R Congress that is not conservative....
Your complaints should be directed at the R party down ballot so that DeSantis CAN get more done as President.
