I'm not sure of the ultimate goal, but I'm convinced the timing is not coincidental. This is to shut down the Congressional subpoena.

I wouldn't be surprised if this is the DNC's way to get Biden to drop out. Hunter is facing up to 17 years in prison. Biden would have to choose between a second term or his son. If he pardons him, I don't see a way he can stay in the race because that would make his poll numbers single digits. They also know that there's no way that he'd allow him to go to prison. I get the feeling the DNC has set a trap for Biden. I guess we'll soon find out.

This is exactly what this is. What the charges are will get pledged down and he won't have to go in front of congress because of reasons.
He and his lawyers already ****ed up the sweetheart deal. Now will be the "I can't answer that" broken record, media will get outraged somewhere else and he will plead down to some house arrest charge for a couple of months when a handler makes him whole again on tax debt.
