Welp, at least they got the Malibu back and the agent is ok.

No news on the "contents"...

Quote:

An FBI special agent was carjacked at gunpoint in Washington, D.C., Wednesday afternoon, according to multiple law enforcement sources.

The incident occurred near the 1200 block of Constitution Ave., NE.

The agent was driving a blue Chevy Malibu, which contained the agent's body armor and radio when it was stolen, sources said. The agent was not harmed, sources told ABC News.

Funny he didn't shoot the jackers. That's why we issue guns to them, isn't it?

I agree, but at the same time no way am I getting shot over a Chevy Malibu if I'm the agent. Then being called a racist and risk going through the kangaroo court in DC.

About 15 years ago we lived in San Antonio and had a neighbor who was an FBI agent. Some random day he gets home and can't wait to tell me about his morning commute on 35. He said he legitimately didn't see a guy and cut him off as a result and this guy lost it. He said he waived and made eye contact to mouth an apology but that wasn't enough. This guy forced him to the side of the road and got out and stormed back to my neighbors truck screaming at him. My neighbor put up his hands and apologized again trying to defuse the situation but this guy was having none of it and when dude got to him he took a swing. My neighbor ducked it and identified himself as a federal agent and basically ordered the guy to calm down or be arrested. One swing later and dude is handcuffed on the ground with the Sheriff on the way. And a tow truck. Neighbor said he wasn't going to press charges he just wanted the guy to remember how badly his day spiraled because he could accept an apology and move on. Pretty funny story.
The federal government was never meant to be this powerful.

The pistol training video from a recent FBI training advert for diversity is not aging well.

Hope they track down that right wing extremist that most certainly perpetrated the crime.

The FBI will probably assert that the carjacker was one of those crazy Catholics who go to traditional Latin mass.

This particular CarMax was also in possession of a 2009 Bentley they had just bought off a guy for like $27k.

If anyone is in the market, may want to shop that next rap video Bentley at the CarMax. Maybe I should cross-post in the Nardo Wick thread...

A fed agent. Trained in BASIC firearms and tactics and probably doesn't put any effort into refresher training.

Unless you're on a tac team, have prior experience or get additional training on your own your primary job is investigating at a computer or conducting interviews.

Really, most street cops are tactically marginal also, just like people in the military.

Pareto principle.

I've become 100% opposed to this attitude. Too damn many repeat offenders, too many people who "suddenly" snapped (after years of getting by with crap).

Buddy of mine was an FBI agent and had an illegal crash him into the concrete wall on I35 in Austin. Bureau car was totaled and APD let the guy walk away from the scene, obviously without insurance and in the country illegally. We suck.

Very thankful I worked for a department that did entire days in firearms training: repetitive dry fire, repetitive live fire, night firearms training on the move with sirens, lights and all the other distractions and lots of ammunition to shoot. It was expensive but made us competent shooters.
