I've been critical of Vivek and his proposed data gathering program for covid. (see: https://texags.com/forums/16/topics/3381786)

It would have been great to actually recognize natural antibodies, and let people avoid Vax or lockdowns due to presence of antibodies.

I don't see where Vivek was calling for anything above and beyond the existing lock downs and mandates we already were seeing back then. So I can understand criticism on not being more like DeSantis. But I think this is being blown out of proportion. He was just trying to deploy a more logic based targeted quarantine program.

Covid response is an exemplary reason to discard Vivek as a presidential candidate. Vivek has never exercised any public emergency powers - like enforcing a curfew, deploying the national guard, or ordering evacuations. In that regard, he is less experienced than Lina Hidalgo. We're left to speculate on how he would handle such powers in office. It's nonsense to me that we would entrust someone to the powers of the Presidency without a track record in an emergency.

And before anyone says "well Trump didn't have that experience" or "he can listen to the experts," I would reply "yes, and we got lockdowns that we all recognize were a mistake."

By giving the government even more information about ourselves? Who's to say what else they could use those tests to identify and then enforce things based on them.

Actually, he was one of the experts on the Ohio COVID Response Team and they were among the worst red states on COVID.

Exactly. Why won't a company create and promote a test that proves someone has just as good is not better immunity naturally than the jab? Weird.

Not sure why you assumed that. I'm speaking in terms of voluntarily using a product, not mandated government tests.

He wasn't proposing a private only testing and they'd be taking your data without your consent.

Furthermore, even if it was private only, would if they were using a biomarker for say a sickle cell trait to segregate people, would that be okay?
