I noticed this morning that the news narrative has been built for this shooting.

The first thing out of every reporter's mouth was NOT that he had mental health issues, but that he apparantly had been a firearms instructor sometime in his past.

Which do you think is more relevant to the shooting? Mental health issues? Or firearms instructor?

Why then, lead with the firearms instructor? It's an irrelevant factoid regarding this individual, but it's being used as a justification to attack firearms in general. They're trying to be sublime about it, but it's gets more obvious as they continue to care less and less about the story, but more about the narrative.
