It appears we have 9. 8 US based ones and 1, 7th Fleet, based at Yokosuka (shout out to my hometown).whatthehey78 said:

No the Arleigh-Burke's do not carry Marine Detachments,. They are guided-missile destroyers. Flight IIAs and Flight IIIs have helicopters. Flight 1 and II do not. They have a complement of around 320ish officers and men. They carry another 30 to 40 to support their flight operations. If they removed their helicopters, they could add a small detachment of Marines, but they use their helicopters for ASW and some interdiction. I believe that there are 11 fleet carriers (10 Nimitz class and the Gerald R. Ford), one of which (USS George Washington) is currently undergoing routine maintenance.
