So, I was recently doxxed on another platform, and some leftists came for my job.
For now, I have survived the corporate inquisition....

....but it's not worth it anymore to me. Perhaps if I had multi-generational "F U" money, it would be different. Grats to the Elon, Clay Travis, and the Tucker Carlson types that can say what they want with conviction and not suffer monetary or societal consequences that threaten their standard of living or ability to provide.

Secondary issue is that a member of my immediate family is facing a battle with cancer - it's made me wonder how much time I am wasting on things I can not change of my own accord and that time spent in on the social media and online forums is time better spent directly improving my life, and most of all, the lives of those closest to me. I certainly need to spend time in scripture more first. And then perhaps read more Solzhenitsyn, Locke, Sowell, Luther, Augustine, etc.....

I have loved posting on F16. I had some bans I deserved. I appealed one successfully I didn't deserve. You all know how it goes....

This account started with me making a failed attempt at self-trolling that the Aggies never would win in the SEC. Somewhere along the way, 97% of my posts ended up in here, and I made it to the top 350 in 'blue stars' on this here old school message board - joking, one of the greatest 'accomplishments' of my life.

I bid you all adieu..... Even to my F16 nemesis' and to all you squishes and CM's. Even the ones from Georgia.

That sucks. I was doxxed once. It's all fun and games until you have to worry about friends, family, etc... because you voice your political opinions online. Cancel culture sucks. Truth be told, social media is a blight on our society. It's entertaining to debate strangers online, but nothing really get accomplished - just a time waster.

I empathize with you. I haven't had a major problem from being on Texags but I have had some light harassment that I think stemmed from my posts here.

I think it will eventually happen to most of us. Especially conservatives.

I took about a year off from F16 after Biden got elected, J6, and just genuinely feeling embarrassed about US politics. I then committed suicide by mods by posting a gif of Betty Gilpen's amazing boob bounce on the Entertainment Board. Over time, somehow I was allowed to come back.

F16 is fun and informative but you're not wrong that it is a massive time drain that could be used for much more productive things. My goal is to read and post less. Hence I'm opining to your decision to leave.
