This is absolutely insane. Imagine being some Italian living your quaint life on an island just as your family has for generations. And then in ONE DAY a horde of military aged men outnumbering the entire population of the island arrives and your own government does absolutely nothing to stop them.

For anyone who has read The Camp of the Saints this particular scene is especially ominous.

Weren't they there from the start? Thought cheddar man laid the groundwork? What's the problem?

How did they get there? A fleet of ferry boats?

Are they natural conservatives? I don't see color.

Goodness...awful. Hopefully Giorgia Meloni sends them back on a few boats ASAP.

Why would they disembark on this tiny island? Doesn't seem like a smart move.

They have occupied Italian land in a way that is threatening indirectly or directly to Italian citizens, which will force a response they hope will result in transportation to the Italian mainland at Italian taxpayer expense, where they might be able to escape into interior Europe if they aren't kept under incarceration in some form. They are counting on numbers being impossible to handle any other way than release.

Can any of them put on a consistent QB rush?

At somepoint the migrants will pillage what they want or the adults in the room can either ship them back to Africa or settle the situation with machine guns.

True. I'm just one of those people that insists upon having physical copies of books.

With the rise of small right wing publishing houses over the last few years, I'm hoping one of them can get their hands on the publishing rights and rerelease it. It is terrifyingly prescient.

Give them a pool noodle from Walmart and tell them to jump in and swim home. If they dawdle, shoot one per minute until they grasp how serious the demand is.

Mine had a copy at a library that normally shares with our system, but it told me 'Hold not allowed'. Maybe because they're afraid of their only copy walking away....

Looks like they may be colonizing the island.

Thousands of migrants arriving by boat on one particular island doesn't just happen by accident. Over the past 10 years or so we have seen mass influx of illegal immigrants in Europe and in the US. Fleets of refugee boats in the Mediterranean, and caravans coming through Latin America nonstop. This is coordinated, yet you never see any investigative reporting to reveal who is funding and coordinating this mass migration. And why is it only white majority countries that simply must accept millions upon millions of third worlders?

I expect Italy to bail out of of the EU.

This sentiment has been simmering for years largely with the people of northern Italy which is the economic engine of the country. Now with this type of chaos in the south, I don't think we are too far off.
