I found this description of Krugman, and the framing of this story to be incredibly hilarious..... no mention about Krugman saying in the late 90s that the internet was just a fad and wouldn't last........ so-called 'expert'

Krugman, net worth 5 million dollars all made in the realm of peddling Keynesian economic Marxism and rewarded by the deep state economic order, has the gall to mock Vivek, self made billionaire son of immigrants, on economics. But hey --- Krugman has a Nobel Prize in economics.... so he is the ultimate AUTHORITY.

He is perhaps the most devious and evil columnist in the country.

They have been rolling out Krugman for years, no one listens to him that is not already voting D.

There used to be writer at the Wall Street Journal who made a career of pointing out when Krugman was wrong, can't remember the guys name. Krugmans failed predictions and laughable economic theories was like clockwork.

Krugman is an expert in the same kind of economics that AOC got her degree in.

A few years ago I was on my district's textbook adoption committee for new economics books (the "committee" was just me and an econ teacher from one of our other high schools). We recommended a book by Mankiw for the AP program. The district decided to disregard our recommendation and go with Krugman's book. Once I saw they had done that, I went down to my school's media center and grabbed up all the copies of the old McConnell/Flynn book that had just been taken out of inventory and moved them up to my classroom to continue using. I refuse to use Krugman's book.

There is (or was; not sure it's still going) an entire podcast called Counter-Krugman.

I'm just staying just because it appears the progressive Dems are stuck on the stupid setting doesn't mean they aren't instead participating in the purposeful reinforcement of the mass delusion that is most of their ideology. The leadership knows their own power and wealth is based upon legions of true believers maintaining the self serving ego massaging faith, so they profit by feeding the mob what they want to believe is true.

I remember how Krugman said that a massive Global Depression was coming fast because Trump was elected. Yep, those 2017-2019 years were pretty rough economies. Krugman has about as much credibility as Paul Ehrlich.

If Krugman is only worth $5 million at 70 years old, that is almost more damning than anything he has ever said. He has been allowed by leftist media outlets and politicians to grift as a so-called "economist" for DECADES. If he hasn't turned that into more than $5 million of net worth, he is a complete idiot, and nobody should listen to him about anything, but especially economics.

Krugman might be the biggest charlatan in economics. I'm embarrassed for him and anyone that perceives him to be an authority on anything.

I love that he's scoffing at the idea of sound money. Yes, what a dumb concept, Paul.

[Stop derailing the thread. This one is about the economic philosophy of Krugman and his criticizing Vivek's positions on economics. Alleged illegals acts by Vivek are a derail. If you want to discuss that, start a thread on it -- Staff]

Krugman is the perfect example of why "trust to the experts without question" is BS. 1) They (like Krugman) aren't actually experts and 2) they (like Krugman) are willing to say literally anything you want if you pay them enough

This is perfect liberal logic:

Thread about what a fraudster Paul Krugman is and how in the world does he have the 'authority' to criticize anyone else about economics = Hey, look, Vivek is a thief, let's talk about Vivek

The paper he got his Nobel Prize for was legit for its time, and is well respected in the economics community.

He's not dumb when it comes to economics. Just everything else. What he does say about economics, I don't think he really believes. He just likes being a rich economist.

Not dumb. Just evil.

What Happened on Election Day (Krugman, November 9, 2016)

Quote:

It really does now look like President Donald J. Trump, and markets are plunging. When might we expect them to recover?
Frankly, I find it hard to care much, even though this is my specialty. The disaster for America and the world has so many aspects that the economic ramifications are way down my list of things to fear.
Still, I guess people want an answer: If the question is when markets will recover, a first-pass answer is never.

BWAHAHAHA...

That wasn't just wrong, it was LAUGHINGSTOCK deserving wrong...

No. He's not dumb.

He IS, HOWEVER, a liar.

He wrote articles for the NYT talking about how raising the MW would have no negative effects. Meanwhile, teachers/professors were using his book to teach their kids and his BOOK stated that raising the MW WOULD have negative effects.

Krugman is nothing more than a Dem/Lib shill that they trot out whenever the Dems/Libs are trying to pitch some Economic B.S. such as raising peoples taxes will make them richer and their lives better. Krugman then says something that makes little sense or is an obvious lie and the Dems/Libs all proclaim that he is really smart and has a Nobel Prize.

Look, I will always be willing to hear another opinion on anything, but you are just flat wrong on Krugman. There are countless times he has made comments that he has been flat wrong, go look for it…you are just a shill at this point.

So does Biden. So does Yellen. So does Powell.

I'll trust Ramaswamy over any of them. We have the experience of seeing the "experience" of Krugman's heroes in action.
