I'd love to see a calculator of the amount of time it takes to make up for the carbon released from an event like this out of say, the number of electric cars in California. That's actually arguments we should be making. We can literally spend years making drastic lifestyle changes and impoverishing ourselves and one burp from a volcano and it's wiped out.

MiniTru at work everywhere. Look at this propaganda tagged to an Astrum video about the great dying.
Way too many of those pesky facts in this video for the left to leave unchallenged. They are the arbiters of truth.

Climate change refers to long-term shifts in temperatures and weather patterns, mainly caused by human activities, especially the burning of fossil fuels.

Local news site is filled with people complaining that all of this excessive heat this summer is from man-made global warming and that everyone who "voted against fixing climate change" is to blame for this.

Carbon is good for Earth's greenery.

Any discussion about reducing CO2 emissions or how volcanos erupting are bad and leftists need to do more CO2 cutting to counter nature is idiotic and a flawed argument from the onset.

This has been a "hot" topic lately. Glad to see that lots of people are pushing back on the BS man made climate change narrative.

Man-made climate change literally doesn't exist, but the brain-washed gullible believe it.

Please update the numbers with the percentage that the US is responsible for and each of the other countries in the top 10 of so called CO2 production worldwide.

Good, hopefully this volcano throws enough ash in the air to offset the water vapor from the Hunga Tonga eruption. Could use a good cooling off around here.

Not to ever imply that Manhattan is on to something, but is there actual evidence that Volcanoes cause more greenhouse gases than what humans produce? I've never found any from cursory internet searches, but I'm willing to read any evidence other people here have.

How about just the CO2 China is spewing? It's almost a vertical line!!!!

Even if none of these acts of God happened, our efforts are futile in light of China and India.

That would be great. I'm sure China and India will report 100% accurate numbers.

Is this right? I thought India emitted way more co2 than us? And I thought China emitted more than all developed nations combined?

India doesn't have that much industrial capacity and most of the people are still very poor, they don't care at all about the environment but they also just don't have the ability to produce that much CO2. India is great at pollution though, the Ganges is absolutely toxic for instance and just pours garbage into the sea just like the big rivers in China. They also just trash the place and crap everywhere San Francisco style. Saw a TED talk one time about how some woman was trying to convince people in India to take a dump indoors and was fighting a losing battle.

China is only going to have their carbon footprint stopped by the inevitable collapse that is coming their way, they would destroy everything without a second thought if they could though. Both of those societies as are many others around the world are very family centric meaning your only loyalty is to your family and no one else. It's considered good business to be corrupt and get away with it. The concept of civic duty, charity, and giving to others is just very different there. They laugh at us with our environmental policies as they see us as suckers.

I recall Rush reading from a scientific journal in what was probably the late 90's or early 2000's where scientists had calculated that the Mount Vesuvius eruption of AD 79 released more carbon in to the atmosphere than the whole of industrialized nations since the industrial revolution.

That is the point. There is no logic to this. To understand climate change you must take into account all sources of CO2, SO2, Methane and other gases. Ignoring natural events diminishes any man-made climate change arguments that can be made.

That the earth itself can release so much carbon pollution in to the atmosphere that it can completely erase any supposed gains we delude ourselves in to thinking we are getting from green energy?

So you know, maybe, we shouldn't do anything too drastic and too quickly that has huge negative impacts on our economy and standard of living?

Also that is really completely pointless to downgrade our lives and piss away our wealth over climate change when India, Mexico, China, Russia, Brazil, Pakistan, etc, aren't going to do sh** about it.

Or even if we could get the above nations to go along with western libs want us to do that it could in fact have any positive outcome as to slowing climate change?

That kind of logic?

Krakatoa plunged Europe into a mini ice age; the carribean volcano in the late 80s/90s helped cool off temps in North America. Thus, volcanoes affecting the earth/ climate/ mankind has been well documented by science, that we all trust, b/c it is science.

Libs on the other hand predicted man's actions could cause an ice age in the 70s, acid rain in the 80s, ozone hole in the 90s, rising sea levels in the 2000s, and now Climate "Change" (which is brilliant b/c it's vagueness allows anything to be causally connected) in the new millennium; NONE OF IT HAPPENED!

But the power of God (or 'Mother Nature' for you non-believers) has unequivocally shown a raw power that can't be matched much less stopped, and that power can achieve with ease the very things that Libs cry about each decade.

Accordingly, climate change is just the latest graft; and if they truly trusted the science, I don't understand why Libs give a **** about the world if they live in Mammoth Lakes or near Yellowstone because there isn't anything Greta can do to stop their instantaneous evaporation from an ash cloud!!

Imagine actually believing that man has a material impact on the climate patterns of a planet that's gone through multiple ice ages before man was ever present.

Nahhh.....the sun is still in a solar maximum, that hasn't changed because of a volcano.

And do you really want to go down a road where logic is involved? It's not your strong suit, you are well out of your element here.

You see. When "man" wasn't around the climate changed naturally over hundreds/thousands of years.

Because man is now here, the "educated" folk think that we can impact climate change more than the naturally occurring events around the world.

In other words, those educated people are full of *****

Let us also not forget that this isn't a one way street where these compounds are produced and are here forever, with ever increasing levels of concentration in our atmosphere.

Because it doesn't work that way. C02 is consumed by plant matter, and we have more trees in the US now than is calculated to have been here prior to Columbus. Water vapor is a variable condition as well, and we have very little to do with how much that goes up and down, etc.

Look at the article manhatten posted - it does not discuss anything other than the fear mongering that evil man is killing the planet and we must all become poor (except for a few super smart people that shall lead us all) in order to combat it. It does not talk about the full cycle of energy or chemical reactions. Imagine that - the party that doesn't know what logic is cannot complete a circle of logic.
