I'd bet a large sum she supports and votes for the Marxists that run that place. It's hard for me to care about these folks when they created the environment that caused it.
If not, it's too bad. If you are that scared though, you should leave. Is your mental health and possibly your life worth it? Surely an employer would understand and try to accommodate it.
Maybe, but most of them are given a choice between a Liberal and a Marxist, they don't get much in the way of alternative opinions unless they are very engaged in politics and they are basically stuck. You absolutely have the hard Lefties that march and protest but she doesn't seem like one of them. She seems like a woman who probably lives there for a variety of reasons as I listed before and feels trapped.
I just don't think it is productive to assume anyone from a Blue state or city is automatically an AOC lover. I for one hope she can see the flaws of that type of politics now after learning a lesson the hard way and she makes a change.
