This is a scary scenario- once the election is in the rearview, the people running the show quit with his meds, quit guarding the sundowning going on and flat out quit hiding that the perverted emperor has no clothes and it's an all out shadow government working to rule outside the lines.
It's risky because if mean ol' Joe from Scranton kicks the bucket in this timeline, Heels up is on deck until the DNC can mutiny and push in their next Manchurian candidate.

If we are starting "Presidential Squares," I'll take January 16, 2024.

Announce too early and you run the risk of losing momentum like DeSantis. Too late and you don't have enough momentum. So a mid-range runway makes sense to me.

It will likely be Newsom/M Obama and nobody will be able to beat them. Not when a handful of swing states are all that's needed to flip an election one way or another.

You're correct, Constitutionally speaking….but, I was asking about when a replacement is chosen for the next term. Heels up is almost guaranteed to get thrown to the wolves sometime before the DNC convention, so for now, I'm not considering her as a viable option for the Dem cabal to choose. There's no way they put Harris on top of the ticket, and likely don't offer her the VP role again. Her poll numbers are so low, the media will do whatever they must in order not to mention them

At this point, I'm starting to think the Dems are going to trot Joey back out there even if he is a dead corps just to rub it in our face that they have it rigged and will win anytime they want…

If their plan to pull Biden, it will be for "health reasons" and it will be as late as possible. The more front and center Newsome is, the more people will get to know how awful he is. No need to subject him to attacks, yet.

But I'm not convinced they are booting Biden. Between half the electorate, all the feds, 95% of the media and a shameful number of republicans, he can weather any scandal AND he is too easily controlled. Why boot him?

I agree there won't be a revolt anytime soon. It will happen at some point though. We are on a downward spiral with no signs of slowing. Hungry desperate people will result to desperate means.

But my comment isn't really about that. It's about your mistaken perception that our collective anger is in defense of some person we idolize. No way can they push for harris. While the same people that control biden will pull her strings, they can't really afford to have her speak about anything, she is a moron. She is so disliked as well. She represents a problem for the democrats. Cast her aside and normally they would have to fear a black backlash. But blacks don't care for her much either.

I am guessing that they will push gavin with a real black VP, something she is not.
