Kids need to be taught to discuss problems at school with their parents and the parents may need to react aggressively sometimes.
But as a general rule, kids are not equipped to "fight" with a teacher and will probably get bad marks if they try - both gradewise and secret commentwise.
Its a learning experience for your kids (young adults).
You have to stay involved.
The only Bs my kids made in schools were on pro-conservative topics ("guns, capitalism")
In one case, the teacher gave my son a B, because he didn't "follow the rubric" - lesson learnt for him- if you are going to take on the teachers, you better have your shi$ together. It was still hilarious - teacher said you didn't have a conclusion on "socialism" - he responded - "The conclusion is Don't vote for Bernie"
They got pretty good at it by Senior year.
One of my sons would always make the school paper as the "conservative voice" on pretty much all topics - still ended up being top 2% in his school, though all teachers knew who he was and where he stood on issues.
As an aside, its isn't history or government where you are indoctrinated. Its ALWAYS English class. Through middle and high school.
