I did a search on Texags but couldn't find it:

" The North Dakota attorney general on Wednesday hinted the Fargo man who ambushed police officers Friday critically injuring two and killing one was possibly planning a mass shooting in the area and the Fargo officer who shot him "was the last person standing between this individual who was obviously dead set on some pretty horrific acts."

"Police and fire officials were responding to a car crash on a busy street Friday afternoon when Mohamad Barakat, 37, started firing at officers, killing St. Michael native Jake Wallin."

"Barakat had 1,800 rounds, multiple guns and a hand grenade in his vehicle, North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley said Wednesday at a news conference regarding the use of deadly force by Fargo officer Zachary Robinson."

"In the wake of [Barakat's] murderous, unprovoked attack, officer Robinson's use of deadly force was reasonable. It was necessary. It was justified and in all ways, it was lawful," Wrigley said. "[Barakat] engaged in a completely unprovoked assault."

I read nothing about this incident in the mainstream media until today.

There were articles about it at the time, but just basic details.

The initial reports sounded like there had been a car wreck, got heated between the parties involved, and someone started shooting.

Obviously it was a lot more than that.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

My mistake. He killed one and critically wounded 2.

I've seen that movie before, it was pretty good. Wood chipper part was a bit cringe.

Seriously though where did this guy pick up a hand grenade?!

" Mohamad Barakat"
This is why you will not hear anything about the shooting in the media ever again.

I see a disturbing pattern here: the recent small town Georgia shooting featured a black man targeting white elderly people. Now this ambush situation in which the shooter had apparently planned much more murder (in overwhelmingly white North Dakota) is quietly buried. Remember Emmanuel AME church where Dylan Roof murdered black church members?

I wonder about these things. I live near Ft Hood and there are a lot of stories about people finding grenades, mostly in the '80s and early '90s.

I would imagine that stealing a grenade today from a base would be pretty difficult. But stealing one 40-50 years ago, maybe not.

Not much you can do about it, either...

Robinson was standing away from the other officers and shot at Barakat from about 75 feet away to disable the rifle, from which about 40 rounds had been shot, Wrigley said.

Robinson then approached Barakat, who was on the ground near his vehicle and waving a 9 mm handgun in the air, and repeatedly directed Barakat to drop his weapon. Robinson came around the back of the vehicle and "gave one last command: 'Put down the gun.' He does not, and the threat is neutralized by the officer," Wrigley said, meaning Barakat was shot.
"to disable the rifle", that's a strange way of saying neutralize the shooter! Sounds more like the writer implying he was trying to shoot the rifle to disable it, old west style.

Yep, it's bad. He's from Syria, a refugee under Obama. Thanks, Barry!

Quote:

It has since been revealed Barakat is originally from Syria was allowed into the United States via asylum in 2012. He later became a full citizen in 2019, according to Inforum. While he does not have much of criminal history, only a speeding ticket was found, North Dakota Attorney General Drew Wrigley revealed there was a Guardian report on him.

"Information that we have from our federal partners says he was not on the terrorist watch list, but there was this Guardian report," Wrigley said. "I'm not going to say much about it except it is not, we are told, about a threat of violence or an act of this nature or anything along these lines."
"Be Worthy."

Never, ever vote for a Democrat. This is what they want, for America.
