Supreme court gave us Roe v Wade........and then took it back. Maybe she's perfect for the court.

No one would have heard of her if she hadn't lied all those years ago and she has quite literally made millions off of that lie. I still think Michelle Obama crying about how this decision and legacy admissions when BOTH of her daughters went to Harvard is slightly worse on the hypocrisy scale but the competition is fierce on the Left.

The thing is she never would have made the cut if she had applied as whitey. So it definitely does help the unscrupulous (like her/her/hers) who are willing to lie about their race to get favorable treatment. Politicians know only how to take advantage of a good scam.

The younger Obama daughter went to Michigan and USC.

It is funny that she talks about expensive high schools with lavish resources and test prep. That's exactly the kind of school their girls attended. They even have their own SAT and ACT test site that is closed to students from other schools.

That's a great response. But her tweet shows how they use language to incite violence and make people angry. "An extremist SC." The only thing extreme about the court is they disagree with her and her views that the color of a person's skin should entitle them to things they don't deserve. Ya know, actual racism.

I just wonder how minorities, both good and bad made it to the top before affirmative action. Folks like Thurgood Marshall, Henry B, Thomas Sowell, Colin Powell, Ben Carson, Henry Cisneros and a slew of others in business, politics and medicine and education.

Anything getting challenged in court is clearly not settled law. It by definition isn't settled law.

My bad, I guess she just wanted something different. The point is either of those girls could have just written their name on the application to any elite school and been admitted. Their ticket to the elite was punched long ago. Same with Chelsea or the Bush girls or Trump's kids (3 went to UPenn like Dad, one to Georgetown, Barron TBD). That's how it works. Virtually all of the elites have gotten away from merit scholarships as well, it's purely based on income. So if you make less than $100k you go for free, usually with housing paid for. If you make over $200k you pay full price at $70-90k per year or $300k plus total.

The only consistent thing is that the Middle Class or especially the Upper Middle Class kid has the hardest path. If you have Mom and Dad working and in their late 40s/early 50s they are hitting their stride in terms of earnings but they often aren't wealthy. Very few folks have $300k saved up for college, especially if you have 2 or 3 kids. Thus it makes little sense to go to one of those schools for so much more than a Public school, especially when they can usually get significant scholarships if they have the grades for an elite but not the bank account.

Talked to a good friend of mine who is a Rice Grad and actually does interviews for them for prospective students. He has a son at Rice currently. He's a liberal but he sees the problem as well and that the elite schools are becoming either the elite/Super Rich or the lower middle class who go for free. It's creating an odd dynamic and a lot of imbalance as a very high percentage of the middle and upper middle who go are also minorities. He has tried raising the alarm but it falls mainly on deaf ears. The virtue signal is the most important thing to those schools.

Hopefully some of those schools use this as a wake up call and get out of the social engineering business and focus on merit and equal treatment. I'm not holding my breath though. I've got a younger son who is going to be a Junior and will be right in that upper middle class vice grip of top notch academics but Mom and Dad aren't nearly that wealthy and would actually like to retire some day. He'll be fine and will likely go to A&M or similar and get scholarships. It's just sad to see when merit isn't rewarded from these so called "elite" schools.

How did she not see that coming?
