Rhode Island local police reportedly arrested and charged a Democrat state senator last week with vandalism and malicious injury to property after the lawmaker allegedly vandalized a vehicle with an "anti-Biden" sticker parked at an outdoor shopping area.

On Thursday, Cranston Police reportedly placed State Senator Joshua Miller (D) in custody after he was accused of "keying" an SUV in the Garden City Center parking lot around 3:30 p.m.

The vehicle's owner identified the 69-year-old politician to authorities after suspecting him of allegedly damaging the car, claiming they saw a man standing beside their vehicle holding a keychain and gripping a single key while quickly walking away after confronting him about the incident.

The unidentified victim, reportedly a supporter of former President Donald Trump, noticed a vehicle parked near his with a "Re-elect Senator Josh Miller" bumper sticker attached. Following the incident, the victim looked up Miller online and identified him as the suspect.

Miller, who has served as a representative of Cranston and Providence since 2006, first denied the accusation to both the authorities and the victim.

"He was blocking my way, saying I scratched his car, I didn't scratch his car," Miller said in a video posted on social media. "I'm a state senator I think he'd recognize. I think he's one of the gun nuts."

An unidentified male in the video responded, saying he doesn't "know any of the senators, to be honest."

A local NBC affiliate approached Miller asking if he keyed a Trump supporter's car.

Miller responded, "I have to review the charges."

Miller reportedly had changed clothes at the scene to avoid identification. When asked by the reporter if he removed his jacket at the location, Miller responded, "I took my jacket off that's not against the law."

Miller appeared to admit the crime to police after an officer showed up at his house saying police obtained video of the incident.

The senator volunteered to go to the police station, where he was charged with vandalism and malicious injury to property and was released on $1,000 personal recognizance.

Democrats are children. I would never put a MAGA, Trump, DeSantis, etc sticker on my truck because I fear the same thing would happen and I live in Texas. Why can't dems keep their emotions in check and just look at the sticker, shake their head and softly say "what a dumbass" just like I do with every Biden, Obama, Beto, etc sticker I see.

Obviously you have never had to have a long deep scratch in your car fixed. Can easily cost a grand or two.

Prosecuting and suing this ******* for the damage would teach him a lesson.

Then make sure who ever is running against him knows about the incident and uses it against him. Also, you should contact his employer and let his employer know about his behavior.

True hard core Dems/Libs would happily key your car, slash your tires, graffiti your business or even set your home on fire with you in it. They would not even feel guilty or have any regrets in doing any of these acts.

Dems/Libs would feel that you deserve anything that they can do to you. Dems/Libs despise Republicans/Conservatives and believe that they are Nazi's, Racists, White Supremist and any other awful kind of person that might exist. Reps/Cons are subhuman in Dems/Libs eyes and should be punished any way possible.

Many Dems/Libs would happily load Republicans into Box Cars even if fully knowing what fate was in store for the ones in the box car. Remember that only 2 years ago Dems/Libs were openly discussing rounding up Trump voters and sending them to camps.

Dems/Libs believe that they are justified in what ever they do to a Rep/Con. This will not end well. That is what scares me.

Even in a state as small as Rhode Island, really? This dude has a really inflated sense of self importance.

How many of you would easily identify your own state senator on the street?

Keying someone's auto is one of the most chicken **** things one can do. Hardly ever can get recourse.

Thankfully in this instance that punk ass state sen. was caught on video.

Years ago my car was keyed... whole left side ... $1,000+ in repair bills in addition had to rent a car, not to mention aggravation involved.

The one thing that liberals count on is not getting caught when they do something stupid however, when they do get caught, they start to cry like a little girl or deny, deny, deny.

I am sure that this "Senator" is now embarrassed as hell about his little "stunt".

I guarantee that because he is a (D) he will merely have his hand slapped and nothing serious will occur to harm his political career. Remember ---- (D)ifferent rules for the left. Always.

I never put Republican campaign materials on my car as I live on the East Coast and will only gear up with SWAG when I am doing a day trip to Gettysburg or Virginia Beach

and then take everything out of the car once I get to destination.

guarantee in Montgomery County Maryland any car with GOP paraphernalia will be keyed in a few minutes. or the windows broken.

The police are allowed to lie about things like this when trying to get a confession. He may have just incriminated himself as the only real evidence against him. [insert "never talk to the police" video]

What are you talking about? Did the police lie to him in order to extract a confession?
