You can communicate the same sentiment with different words. It's not that hard.

Well he was a communist at one point and took inspiration from Karl Marx. I am kind of disappointed they are quoting a leftist.

I'd say it is recognizing the threat the radical left poses because that is EXACTLY what the left is doing: indoctrinating the children. It's more of a Maoist process but Mao had similar sentiments with regards to using the children to obtain political power.

I don't read it as advocacy, I read it as recognition of a threat that the left is emulating the policies of megalomaniacal ideologues.

Why is quoting Hitler a problem when that statement he made was correct?

The left is following the same playbook the Nazis, Soviets, and communist Chinese all followed.
"If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." - Sir Winston Churchill

It's exactly this. The leftists are just too stupid to get it.

Personally I couldn't care less.

More power to these if the left and mushy middle pearl clutches at this while those same pearl clutching Karens are indifferent or fine with mutilating children.

I read that as a knock on your side. You guys are the ones trying to force your views on kids with CRT and drag show story time.

The point of the quote is not just the simple statement. The fact that our government adopts approaches to our children that were espoused by Hitler is what one should take away.

Goodness, their only mistake is not realizing how shockingly dense so many supposedly educated Americans are.

You think these people are quoting that out of support? They are making the very simple point that this is what the left is doing...they keep insisting upon having control of our youth...that "it takes a village" and "your children are ours.

OP and Ghost of Andrew Eaton and the like should be embarrassed. IT'S A WARNING. And a valid one at that.

Careful throwing that word around Mr. Always Enlightened. Appears their usage of the quote went WAY over your head.

Just own it, and maybe take a more humble approach going fwd, since you're always so quick to imply others are stupid, lazy etc.

Good god, so many stupid people think they're so smart because they have an "education." This thread is embarrassing.

It's obviously a warning against the attempts being made, and the struggle to PREVENT that from happening, not supporting it. Hitler did it to control his society. The same is being done, or trying to be done as speak, by those in power and with influence. That said, it's a brilliant strategy, as it seems those being indoctrinated, as was done by Hitler, don't even see, or believe, it's happening, and turn against those pointing out the manipulation successfully employed against them, and them alone. If you dare to stand up to it, then you get threads like this, pointing fingers as if the opposition to this population control isn't actually happening, and almost as if the reverse is happening. Simply incredible to watch it play out in real time.

The only question is, is this warning going to make any difference, or will we enthusiastically give that power away, as the Germans did? We have the advantage of a relatively recent example of what can happen. But will that make a difference this time…?

To say that Hitler and those on the left in the U.S. are simpatico in their beliefs is such a ridiculous oversimplification. The left is a different kind of socialism. Hitler would have abhorred the left in our country, especially the socially liberal aspect. There might be some similarities in government or political party control over everything, but this one for one comparison of Hitler and the U.S. left just appeals to the lowest common denominator of voter who knows nothing about either other than they read on the internet they are the same.
Same is true calling all conservatives fascists.

OMG. Context is your friend. They're not quoting Hitler because they admire him, or what he said, but the quote is there to demonstrate that what is happening today is the same, and as awful, as what happened in Germany. Anyone with two functioning brain cells can get that.

The quote was spot on and describes the lefts intent and actions perfectly with regard to indoctrination via public education.
