Feom the article...

Teachers in Switzerland are complaining about too many students wearing diapers in class because they don't know how to use the toilet.

"When 11-year-olds come to school in diapers, that's a worrying trend."

Many tots have become so accustomed to wearing diapers that they lose interest in transitioning out of the convenient but unsanitary method.

The average age to potty train children is between 18 months and 24 months, according to Mayo Clinic, but many parents seem to be avoiding the training session.

I'm calling bull**** on this. No pun intended.
If you say you hate the state of politics in this nation and you don't get involved in it, you obviously don't hate the state of politics in this nation.

Yeah seriously, any reasonable parent wants their kids out of diapers asap because they're expensive and a hassle to deal with.

They're only wearing diapers because there is no litter box for them to use.

Most of this is lazy parenting. Autistic kids and other issue are probably minimal.

Benny took forever to potty train because we didn't know about the gluten issue.

Pampers Easy Ups and other "training" diapers are one of the biggest scams ever committed on American families.

Not at all uncommon for foreign-born parents to show up to elementary schools every day at lunch to hand-feed their kids.

There's not as many 'reasonable' parents out there a you think.

Old kids in diapers are probably the result of:
1) Crazy moms who want their child to be a baby forever,
2) Broken families who pass the baby between baby-momma, baby-daddy, and various other relatives to stay with but nobody steps up to actually do the hard parenting of the baby, and
3) Lazy parents who just don't want the hassle of potty training.

(Of course, kids with medical problems are not a part of this rant.)

Also diaper technology. Modern Disposable diapers allow kids to be comfortable while still wet. It lessens the incentive during potty training. Cloth diapers remain wet and uncomfortable, and kid gets the point even though they may not be able to verbalize. For the parents, cloth diapers seem like a little more work, but in the long run they are cheaper and get you past potty training a lot faster than disposables.

That's why I insisted I get the kids in the divorce, I didn't want them to end up with that kind of mess between their mom and her mom since neither of them are very good at doing actual parenting.

If they're wearing diapers at eleven, are they still nursing, too? That would be some Game of Thrones level sheet there.
