What if you use it without any of the DNA features? I haven't ever done the DNA tests and purely keep records.

After 9-11 there was program to catalogue DNA samples of everyone in the military.

From what I've read about the subject there seems to be a way to extrapolate the data. You hear a lot about this issue when they talk about solving cold cases using DNA.

FYI Blackstone and Blackrock are different companies.

How does Vanguard keep getting brought up with these guys? I have a bunch of money with Vanguard - if they have gone woke, I'd like to know. The last I heard, they had rejected the idea of following leftist social credit type ratings for investment decisions in their mutual funds. Is that not correct?

Ishares and vanguard are predominantly index funds. They don't create the index, they merely track it/them with their various funds.

MSCI. CRSP. SPGI. BARRA, Russell etc create the index.

No way this DNA data doesn't end up being crunched by the reinsurance market.

It's illegal to discriminate on a host of factors but discrimination based on DNA will slip through the cracks.

It may be the case that big pharma and big insurance already using this data and we'll never know. Maybe even big banks. Who knows at this point?

This was inconceivable at one point but we now have the computing power to discriminate and market based on DNA and the general public will be none the wiser.

I'm going on a limb and call BS. Tell us specifically in what ways insurance companies are using genetics to discriminate? Don't just say they're doing it (or as you walked your comment back) will do it.

If an insurer learns that a disease is more prevalent in the population as a whole based on genetics, and decides not insure that risk, then that's not discrimination IMO. They've always decided what risks they will insure or won't.

I'm kind of at the point where none of this surprises me anymore. Hedge funds buying people's DNA to sell to insurance companies for discriminatory purposes and pharmaceutical companies for "tailor-made vaccines/pandemics". And the contrarians who say, "Come on...that's too crazy...too far...hyperbolic...etc".

I found a much cheaper way to do it. I have a huge cast iron skillet and use it on my grill. No need to spend $600 for a griddle.
